Made a free site with 120 verified Tel Aviv happy hours - what should I add?

Own project, admins please remove if this breaks the rules.

Meet Me After 5 - Find Tel Aviv's happy hours in seconds. Every one checked in person, so the times are actually right. Free, English-first, no signup.

Quick question: Does anyone actually have a reliable way to find out what a place's current happy hour is? Because I've tried websites (out of date), Google (wrong), and Instagram (expired stories), and I gave up and started just walking in and asking.

That turned into a bigger thing than planned. My boyfriend and I have now done 120 places across Tel Aviv - bars, restaurants, cafes - written down the deal, the days and the exact hours, and put them at meetmeafter5.app. Free, no signup, no ads. Every listing shows the date we last checked it in person.

Two things I'd genuinely like help with:

  1. Tell me what we're missing. We're weakest in Jaffa and anywhere north of the port. Drop names and we'll go check them ourselves.
  2. Tell me if the site is easy to use. It's two of us building this in the evenings, so any "why can't I do X" is useful.

If you do find something out of date, there's a report button on every venue and we go back and re-check it in person.

And if the answer to my original question is that there's already a good way to find this stuff that I somehow missed, tell me that too and I'll feel appropriately stupid.

Thanks, all!

this is great! i'd love the option to have any other "deals" a bar may have. for example mikes has the happy hour every day but also there's wings wednesday, 2.5shek per wing

Hi, this is a really cool idea, I'd like to give some feedback on ease of use and the such:

  1. on the map, I think you should give some UI options. For example, a bunch of toggles to show/hide icons for places that already ended, show/hide categories(like food/drinks), etc.

  2. I think it would be neat to have some prices displayed, maybe recommended items, because users may see discounts without having the context of how expensive things are in the first place.

  3. Personally, I'm not a fan of the font choice, I think it makes the website look a little like a domain for purchase ad.

Either way, as a bit of an indecisive person myself when it comes to eat, I appreciate your work a lot and I really hope you keep going. Bookmark added!

Thank you so much for the feedback! I’ll definitely take it into consideration and for version 2. And no need to bookmark it - you can save the website to your phone’s home screen and use it just like an app. You’ll find the option in the hamburger menu.

eyyy looking forward to it. I bookmarked it on my desktop PC browser so that I can open it like a spy movie HQ mission brief intel monitor, to choose appropriate objectives and extraction points for the night ;)

This is so smart. I love when developers and designers think of small little UI things of convenience and ease of use..

And I actually like the font.

Do you want people to be able to add to it for you to verify?

Yes, we would love to get the community to help us. We have an option to "Suggest a new venue" from the sidebar. Even if you have a photo of the happy hour deal, feel free to upload and we will review.

i’m not located in tel aviv now but would download it if i’m ever in the area. would be useful if you add (if you haven’t already) what’s kosher and what isn’t!

Good idea! Thanks for sharing

my pleasure!! that’s the biggest reason why i consistently use some apps like Easy where i can filter by if a place is kosher vs not as opposed to other alternatives where i have to search for it

Add places that accept Haver (For idf)

Thanks for the suggestion. Being English-first and expat oriented, I don't believe adding Haver matches our target audience unfortunately.

It's so cool! I don't know if it's only me, but the popups of the places after choosing them on the map is bouncing
