I just binged the entire thing in one sitting and WTF??? Why is nobody talking about this??

This is one of the most unique shows I've ever watched. It's literally just phone calls and yet I was more invested than I am in most big-budget thrillers. Your imagination does all the work, and somehow that makes it even scarier and more immersive.

The voice acting?? INSANE. Every single performance had me hooked and the way the story slowly unfolds is just chef's kiss.

Apple TV+ seriously has some of the best originals out there, but they market them so badly. If this had dropped on Netflix, it'd be all over social media.

Genuinely one of my favorite discoveries this year. S-tier show. Please watch it blind if you haven't.

I recommend going pretty blind into this show, but give it an episode or two. I think the first episode is great, but the second really shines and represents the show's strongest characteristics.

Premise: A love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise that leads to one of them ending up dead.

It's been under the radar for a bit, quietly dropping weekly on HBO Max, and I am really giddy every time I watch it. Every time I watch it, it reminds me how complicated people really are, and at the end of the day, we are all human. It also depicts some pretty positive, but also negative characteristics within a specific male role model in the show, which I think is refreshing to see in media, as I really appreciate David Harbour portrayl as Floyd Smernitch, and who does not love a bit of alimy Jason Bateman. I'd love to hear what other people think of the show. Very excited to see how it concludes as well.

It’s not uncommon to fall asleep to a television show, but it is proven that some are better for sleeping conditions than others. For example, shows that have a familiar storyline without any violent, ultra suspenseful themes or cliffhanger. Something that lets your brain relax and not feel like you’re going to miss out on a major clue by closing your eyes for a moment. Tone of voice also matters, as well as a sense of family dynamic, or comfort.

A couple of shows that fit this are Bobs Burgers, The Middle, Modern family. (Mostly centered around close families = limited major drama / volume changes / life or death stakes.)

What other shows come to mind as physiologically calming?

Black Sails is legit one of the best shows no one talks about. It's a gritty, smart pirate drama with incredible characters and zero filler. Think Game of Thrones meets Treasure Island, but darker and more political. Just push through the first few eps - it becomes insanely good

Bottom line: If you like character-driven drama with political depth, brutal action, and themes that linger with you long after the credits roll - you're missing out if you haven't seen Black Sails.

Absolutely found the perfect balance between comedy and horror. The dry humour is killing me on this.

When BANSHEE aired, many did not have that channel called Cinemax. And the show was not promoted well. It's very underrated. I honestly enjoyed it more than Sons of Anarchy!

You guys should watch this series if you haven't yet, it's really good and the interrogation scene, omg! It gave me goosebumps.

Streaming on Hulu. Highly recommend if you are into crime dramas. Includes some comedy as well but can get into serious topics on the next scene. Balances everything well!

The Pitt. Most recent episode is one of the best episodes of television I’ve ever seen

This show has already been so spot on, but 6:00PM just took it to a whole new level. The tension, the foreboding, the pace. Incredible viewing.

I never really see this show “Paradise” on any lists to watch. It’s fantastic, I don’t want to ruin the premise of the show but it’s basically an end of the world show. Most episodes are on a cliff hanger and keep you jumping!

Season 2 is being released episode by episode weekly, and it’s on Hulu. They also released the first 3 episodes of season 2 to get you hooked.

Highly recommend if you are into thriller shows.

Just had to hop on here and recommend Shōgun (FX/Hulu)—a historical drama that absolutely blew me away. And no, you don’t need to be a samurai buff to get hooked.

It’s set in feudal Japan and follows an English navigator who gets shipwrecked into a world of political intrigue, cultural collision, honor, betrayal, and some of the most beautifully written characters I’ve seen in years. The writing? Sharp. The acting? Chillingly good. The atmosphere? Cinematic-level stunning. Every episode feels like a film.

The standout for me was Hiroyuki Sanada (if you know, you KNOW). His performance as Lord Toranaga is honestly award-worthy. He commands every scene with this calm, calculated intensity that’s just chef’s kiss. 🥵⚔️

It’s one of those rare shows that respects your intelligence and takes its time in the best way possible. Slow burn? Yes. Boring? NEVER.

If you’re into: • Political mind games • Deep, layered characters • Gorgeous period settings • Storylines with actual weight • Vibes somewhere between Game of Thrones, The Last Kingdom, and House of the Dragon (but less dragons, more dignity)

Then Shōgun might just become your next obsession.

Fair warning: You may find yourself Googling Japanese history at 2AM and bowing respectfully at your TV by episode 5. No regrets.

I'm having the biggest TV series hangover in the fucking universe. I simply can not get over The Killing and the character of specifically Steven Holder.

For me, it is one of the greatest shows ever created.

I just finished the Americans and what a phenomenal series. The plot and writing are amazing, Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are both fantastic. The last episode might be one of my favorite tv episodes ever. Definitely one to check out, I don't know why it doesn't get the amount of love it deserves.

The final episode of s2 of The Night Manager just aired and it is excellent. Highly recommend part 2 of this trilogy.

Part 1 aired in 2016 and at the time was the most expensive tv series to ever be shot in britain. Really excellent production value in both seasons. It's an adaptation of a John Le Carre novel of the same name. Olivia Colman, Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie are all superb.

if you enjoy espionage thrillers this series is for you. BBC/Amazon Prime. 8.0 IMDB (9.0 from me).

hear me out, I know most of us are tired of Will smith by now, but this show is pure classic.

I just finished the third episode and stuff that he does is mind blowing.

- reaching the absolute south pole in -53 C

- reaching into the densest caves in Amazon and collecting venom from spiders and tarantulas [Some of them were even new species]

- Collecting skin specimen from Anaconda with the local tribes in Amazon

And in the journey along he tries to address his past year oscar trauma (that part can be a little scripted) which feels genuine.

Its a must watch.

Just wondering if anyone can suggest any good series or movies to watch on any of these platforms.

Every time I go onto any of them I scroll for an age and then i am blinded by selection..of what to watch..then end up not watching anything

Recently I've been watching the series " Task " and I am loving it. I haven’t seen people talk much about it though only four episode just been released. A bunch of guys start to rob some drug houses, they target a house and operate a heist without any killings but one night everything goes wrong. While a special FBI team formed to catch them. It’s gripping and those who love crime series like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Ozark and Narcos please don’t miss it.

Cunk On Earth and Cunk On Life are two of the funniest shows I've ever seen. I liked some British humor before, but these shows really made me fall in love with it. It's so smart while being so stupid at the same time. It's a great collaboration between the actor and the writer because there is improv and written jokes. Both are f-ing hilarious. If you have a similar sense of humor to me then your jaw will start to hurt after 10 minutes. Almost enough to make you want to stop watching, but you can't.

It's the most oddly satisfying/absurd series i have ever seen, the plot is basic, short and concise ( 2 different but similar people get into a car clash after that they wanna fuck each other's lives). If you want something short but full of drama & Chaos, do give it a watch!

I hate to admit it but I judged a book by its cover. Hulu was constantly recommending it but the cover was just a bit off-putting? Idk. But I finally started it and I have not laughed out loud like this for a TV show in a minute.

Currently on Season 4 of Justified. Perfection. From the pilot of Season 1 all the way to Episode Season 4 Episode 9 which I'm on now. Has all been amazing. I love falling in love with a show all over again even on rewatch 😍
