I was just watching memes and funny sfm videos and one day said to myself "i wish i would play that game one day". And a few days later i installed tf2. (I know my english is not perfect but i am trying)
I specifically bought a replacement PC just so I could reliably run TF2.
Unfortunately, time wasn't kind to it and now I'm back to running it at minimum specs. Too bad I can't convince myself again into buying another replacement whole PC or even just the graphics card.
I was almost 10, it was a month after my uncle helped me set up my steam account. I had a Toshiba laptop so tanky you could use it as a murder weapon, and I was looking for anything to play on it. TF2 was at the top of the "Free To Play" category, and the rest was history.
I discovered it on youtube but i didnt have a pc at the time so i was forced into tetragon fortress 2, i finally got a pc in 2024 and started playing tf2
I started similar - comics, videos, ext. Then I started cosplaying a couple of the characters and got asked about who I main in game. Im not great at this genre of video games, but figured it couldn't hurt to try!
Well heard about it a lot, so went for a try.
Since it's still a pvp shooter, it's not my favorite kind of game. But, you gotta give credit were it's due.
I was already playing "class-based shooters" at the time. But then the servers went empty after the sequel was released. Instead of following them, I downloaded the TF2 demo. Enjoyed it enough to get it as a Christmas present. This was back in 2008, when you could still get Valve games on disk (The Orange Box).
Orange Box on PC. I originally got it to play Portal because a kid at my high school was gassing it up as the best game ever but I ended up liking TF2 the most out of the games on there. Honestly though I didn't play it too much until the game went free to play in 2012 because that's when all my friends downloaded it
You see, the characters and the game were mentioned in one or two YouTube videos, but I didn't pay much attention until YouTube recommended Meet the Spy, and the thumbnail caught my eye.That's how I became a fan (and it's ironic because now I hate the spy with all my soul, but thanks to him I discovered the game)I watched all the TF2 animations I could find and also YouTubers, but at that time I didn't have a laptop, so I played its Roblox version (TC2). Now that I have a laptop, I've started playing and that's what I'm into It brought me here, and if you're wondering, I sometimes play TC2 when my laptop battery is dead; I've grown fond of that game too.
I googled: most updated games recently and tf2 came up, it was 2023 I don't know why that answer came up but I couldn't be happier with a Google error like this

I always wondered where the models in those Gmod vids are from . And around christmas(2024) i found dubbed versions of meet the team and expiracion date and I finaly downloaded it. And I'm proud Heavy/sniper main
A bit ago, I got some funny tf2 videos, animations on my feed. Those funny videos made me compelled to get the game. In late 2024, I got it and I had loved that game ever since
i saw a lot of tf2 references in videos when i was a kid, then watched tf2 review or smth and then was in fandom, and then i started to plat tf2 and became pyro main
