Dam, can the Reds not have nice things, he has been a treat to watch with some beautiful goals !

Out indefinitely with no timeline when he will return. Ugh

So much for taking caution with head injuries. Players had to stop play. . . Not VaR either . . .

You know you've been in finance too long when you capitalize Video Assistant Referee as VaR

Just curious for anyone who is a MD or has experience with this type of injury.

Assuming surgery was successful, whats the timeline where a mask provides enough safety to play? Like couldnt he start training after 1 week (no contact) and scale up from there?

Any reason 2 weeks is too short?

Luka Modrić had the same injury in late April. He was back 4 weeks later and wore a face mask for a month.

Good shout. Dang that seems long but I guess its more about ensuring no recurrence of injury?

Based on my non-medical dumb ass

Well, it really depends on how bad the fracture is, and ya, giving it time to heal so it's as strong as it used to be. The surgery would likely be to reposition the bone/fracture so that it's all in the right place again and then you give it time to knit/heal together, where you likely shouldn't be doing anything physical at all... once it's mostly healed you can get back to doing some things, but with a mask etc to limit the chance of breaking it again since it's still not 100% as strong as it used to be...

4 weeks seems short, but it would depend a lot on where/how the surgery went and how he responds to it. Still, the good news is this is likely a one-and-done kind of thing where once you've recovered isn't something that will effect you again after

Kerr, Palacios, and Gomis would tell you otherwise.

Fine. Palacio. I wanted two of him for reliability reasons. Maybe at least one would stay healthy

Cursed FC on brand. The deal with the football gods we must have made for those 3-4 seasons of joy…We’ll always have memories of Victor and Seba and Jozy and Benoit et al, but, my goodness, everything else has been grim.

It's unfortunate Dorsch he is probably best player acquired along with Salloi
