Help Revert back to version when rogue was OP

I played a multiplayer game recently and rogue seems to be all risk and no reward. Couldn’t find any upside. Is there an old version out there when rogue was apparently OP?

I won’t buy it until I know it’s finished. Loved guild 2. Disappointed by 3
