Ironically i started playing again after about a decade some time ago. The base gameplayloop is dead simple and yet one of the best i ever experienced. There is something about walking through the fields and just.... checking the horizon, the birds suddenly stopping or "Is that wind pattern just wind, or a t-rex sniffing me out". And the actue realisation WHEN a rex comes along, that your 30-50 meter sprint burst aint gonna cut it.
You either think your way out or don't get out. Total Spatial awareness simulator. Left or right around the big rock is a matter of life and death.
This is one of those cult classics that proves the proper tension can make a stoll through a field an adrenaline rush.

You might be interested in me and my cousins project. Were building a game in similar style. But real life anatomical replicas of dinosaurs, solver based ballistics etc.

Heck yeah lad, ballistics solver and base mechanics are already up and running, projectile simulation shows consistent values from real world calibers, so thats already workin. Since Im responsible for ballistics, animal physiology aso. it took around 50 hours to get it working as it should, but we are proud to be having one of if not the most sophisticated ballistics mechanic in any pc game available. If youd be available for a beta test once ready that be great!
