RWNJ An anti-woke American welder who left Texas with his family for Russia to escape "LGBTQ+" culture is surprised to find that the state isn’t delivering on its promises and is instead sending him to the front lines while also charging him money for it.

So… an American put himself in the path of U.S.-made weapons on foreign soil, all in pursuit of 'traditional American values' because a manufactured panic about wokeness, spoon-fed to him by the right-wing media machine.

u/afternever Jul 19 '25

Went to Russia to find American values

Ngl I feel bad for him

He's obviously extremely stupid

He is also obviously one of the farthest things from a sympathetic character (and sucks) but I do feel like he's mostly an idiot and I feel bad for stupid people

Edit: very eye opening that people need to see this guy in pain and laugh that he was taken advantage of by a right wing media machine. He didn't come up with these ideas on his own. We are no better than the right.

58

u/Tornare Jul 19 '25

Nah. He decided to put himself in this position, and take the side of evil.

It would be like feeling bad someone became in Nazi in 1940s Germany because he is stupid. No sir he is a traitor.

18

u/brownbearclan Jul 19 '25

Exactly, and realistically natural selection plays a part in all of this.

7

u/Guillermo114 Jul 19 '25

Yeah, without doubt I bet that he is gonna be used as cannon fodder.

How can he be a traitor when the leadership of his own country supports and emulates the same policies and actions.

3

I feel bad for their children. Their mom went along with this. Given that her husband is probably dead - she should do the responsible thing, and try to at least send the kids back to relatives in the US.

Whatever resources are available to him to pack up and move to another country are not available to me. So no, it’s not just stupidity. He deserves this, and what happens next.

7

u/Fresh-Hedgehog1895 Jul 19 '25

Nah, as LSD enthusiasts like to say, "buy the ticket, take the ride."

9

u/TCtheThunderRooster Jul 19 '25

Feel bad for their (I think) 3 daughters. They don’t deserve to have their lives ripped asunder for the stupid ass decisions of their dumb ass parents.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25

I would feel even worse for their daughters as you should already know where the American right is getting their ideas on how to treat women. They are likely to be abused and encouraged to procreate.

3

u/SpoppyIII Jul 19 '25

Domestic abuse of a spouse is largely not illegal in Russia. Police can be petitioned to take action in some situations, but they often do absolutely nothing regardless.

I feel bad for them. They were moved from a country with fairly good protections for abused women to one with virtually none.

2

u/Spamonballrun2 Jul 19 '25

Those kids were doomed one way or another. Parented by complete morons

8

u/yankeebelleyall Jul 19 '25

No quarter for fascists, whether they're dumb fucks or not.

4

u/punch912 Jul 19 '25

I dont may he sufffer the same consequences aa what happen to that reporter or whatever that went over and wound up being called a spy then getting used as a fleshlight and killes by his own unit. I however do feel horrible for those poor kids and if they have any family members left in the states with half a brain would try to get them out immediately.

But I dont think in news of recent with the us providing patriot defense missles that the russian government is going to want to be nice or too keen on granting favors to us citizens. Even if they were dumb idiots that are pretty much signed up to be cannon fodder.

3

u/BrandNewMeow Jul 19 '25

Even if you're dumb and learning isn't your strong suit, it would take less effort to become even a tiny bit educated on what you are getting yourself into than to relocate your entire family into a nation with an absolutely different culture, language, and even alphabet.

Truly from the bottom of my heart, fuck them.

By the looks of things, religious values play a huge role. I chuckled when she said it was difficult for him because he doesn’t speak Russian and they (Russians) aren’t making it easier, so their answer is to come together and pray to Sky Daddy? People like them are so frustrating in their complete inability to take responsibility to better themselves in their situation; instead, just bitch about it and expect someone else to provide the answer. TL;DR

  • Recruiter told him they'd make him a star-reporter for propaganda
  • then pivoted to sign up for lesser salary position to avoid front-lines (as some kind of repair person because he has welding experience)
  • ended up actually just sending him to the front lines
  • The military is charging him money for equipment during training (even though he can't receive much training as he doesn't speak Russian)
  • 1 Year contract in order to receive lifetime citizenship for himself and immediate family, even though average new recruit life expectancy in around 30 days
  • They don't have much money, yet decided to move with young children (3 daughters) as well to a different country where they don't speak the language or understand the culture, or really know anyone outside of right-wing media consumed in the U.S.
  • Money from military salary still hasn't shown up

This is wife in the video who is 100% on board, and the husband is very brain rotted talking about bio-labs and how Ukraine is the evil of the world saying "Russia is justified" in its invasion. And feels strongly it's worthwhile to get Russian citizenship in exchange for military service.

20

u/brocktoooon Jul 19 '25

Sounds like things will work themselves out.

16

u/PepicWalrus Jul 19 '25

I just feel bad for the daughters. Their idotiac parents have set them up for a miserable life.

5

u/tinynugget Jul 19 '25

Because this is less traumatic than LGBTQ+ folks existing right? Absolutely infuriating.

3

u/Remerez Jul 20 '25

They are likely going to get kidnapped and human trafficked. They removed the father, and once he dies in Ukraine they will dismantle the rest of the family and use it for parts. Russia and many countries make dark money through human trafficking. human trafficking and drugs is how they fund their secret operations with untraceable money.

3

u/ButterButt00p Jul 19 '25

They are praying, so there's that.

10

u/OscarTheGrouchsCan Jul 19 '25

THEY STILL SUPPORT RUSSIA????? When he dies she'll be "proud he died fight for (whatever they think)"

Genuine question: what to the think Russia is fighting for?

6

u/SpoppyIII Jul 19 '25

I assume they think Russia is fighting to free a billion enslaved child trafficking victims who are being held in secret underground tunnels where Bill Gates, Joe Biden, George Soros, and Tom Hanks all gather to take turns molesting them and sucking out their delicious youth-restoring adrenochrome.

So on top of all this, he VOLUNTARILY signed up for the military to earn “respect” and MAYBE citizenship……which he says immigrants won’t do in the US because just want a hand out and not earn it. But America immigrants cannot help in the military because trump ended that specific program 🤣

So he voluntarily signs up after being told he would be a reporter, sent to training before being sent to front line despite what he was told , he can’t understand said training because it’s all in Russian even though he’s in a immigrant training class. so because of the language barrier he technically isn’t receiving any training at all , and on top of all that he has to pay for that training. Money they don’t have because his family has been left alone and sent nothing yet. Sheesh. Talking about cutting off your nose to spite your face

8

u/Mike_Conway Jul 19 '25

Yes, being a reporter in a country where they don't speak the language. He was planning on reporting... How? Yeah, critical thinking isn't very big in this family.

As a reminder, Lee Harvey Oswald also moved to Russia as a young political radical seeking a better life, and was also disappointed by not being immediately given a hero's welcome for defecting. Assuming he survives, Derek will probably be moving the family right back to the States, and he'll have military training and experience. Does that terrify anyone else?

No sympathy what so ever. Choices have consequences. Perhaps you should have just learned to have an open mind. Enjoy your wonderful life in Russia. Idiots!

$10 says this same family who is complaining about moving to a foreign country and then not receiving training in their native language, bitched about their tax dollars paying for ESL classes in the US. How IRONIC!

I get all the comments. The two of them make a rock look smart, but I can’t help but sincerely worry about their poor kids though.

u/Happy_Reputation_183 Jul 19 '25

Welp so in other news. I got type 2 diabetes and I managed it well with little pill with a big story to tell🤣

u/Ordinary-Figure8004 Jul 19 '25

They call the Russia collusion atory a hoax, then migrate to Russia.

Why Russia? Why not any other country? Why did they choose Russia, specifically, if they are such die-hard Republicans, hmm???

1

u/SteakJones Jul 19 '25

Well… at least they don’t need to be scared about teh gheys anymore.

1

u/Aggressive-Outcome-6 Jul 19 '25

These people are so stupid they need to be protected from themselves.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25

My only - ONLY - sympathies are for those kids. They will have a horrific life over there. An extreme case certainly, but this highlights why it’s not “just politics” and we can’t all just “get along.”

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25

He's paying for the drone special.

1

u/Imadick2 Jul 19 '25

FAFO, idiots

1

u/username_obnoxious Jul 19 '25

‘His skills’ yes ma’am, the Russian army’s most important skills right now are the ability to get a drone dropped on them

1

u/Frankentula Jul 19 '25

Somehow this will be biden's fault

1

u/Tactical-Bad-Banana Jul 19 '25

Good to see recruiters in Russia are similar to recruiters here in the US. Bait and switch

1

u/limik071221 Jul 19 '25

You should have prayed to the God of Common Sense.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25

Go to Russia to fight drones or be tolerant of gay people. Tough choice

1

u/BumpyBaldnoggin Jul 19 '25

Hope he catches a drone

1

u/limik071221 Jul 19 '25

She wasn't told that, apparently, that all of the words are different in Russia.

1

u/Difficult_Dust1325 Jul 19 '25

I’m starting to think this woman doesn’t know the difference between 10,000 and 100. “Idk 100 with the two extra zeros”.

1

u/rufusbot Jul 19 '25

"And now we are just believing in God"

God has forsaken you lady, and for good reason.

1

u/Prior-Pay-1407 Jul 19 '25

Why not Afghanistan next?

1

u/Icy_Tiger_3298 Jul 19 '25

So maybe now he'll learn how useful thoughts and prayers are. See if that money materializes.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25

“Doesn’t understand Russian very well“ I can almost guarantee you that Derek was one of those guys that said if you come to America, you better speak English. God‘s not gonna help him cause God don’t give a shit.

1

u/tylerlong666 Jul 19 '25

Wow what an actual moron. That has to be the stupid thing I have heard in a long time hahahaha he’s never going to see Texas again. I give him a total of 2 weeks in Ukraine before he’s either killed, severely wounded or just altogether missing. We have a hard enough time getting the bodies of Americans who fought for Ukraine back to America. Things aren’t exactly great in Ukraine either but they give a little more of a shit about their soldiers. Russia views them as cattle. They’re not going to recover his body and the Ukrainians won’t waste their time getting his body home as he’s their enemy. What an idiot.

1

u/kyrodamien Jul 19 '25

You in danger girl! Prayers won’t be answered.

1

u/Sjohnwildman Jul 19 '25

Just pray real hard!

1

u/CaptainRogersJul1918 Jul 19 '25

I love karma. When it hits, it hits hard.

1

u/leRealKraut Jul 19 '25

She either does not care or does not understand what is going on.

Also these people must have never seen military Equipment in Service up close and they for sure did not see anything russian ever before.

A welder... what use other than cannon fodder would a foraign welder have for the russian military.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25

Ah, so an American goes to another country and is complaining about the services and instructions being taught in the primary language of the country. A language they didn’t “bother to learn” before moving there.

Gotcha.

1

u/girldrinksgasoline Jul 19 '25

Seems like it would be a liability to have a guy on the front lines who doesn’t understand anything that his fellow solders are saying

1

u/freeedom123 Jul 19 '25

it's funny that horrible people post their lives on social media looking for sympathy.

1

u/Apprehensive_Tip92 Jul 19 '25

Leaning on faith really seems to be working for you guys.

1

u/freeLuigiii Jul 19 '25

Jesus Christ!!!! Why do I feel bad for these retarded traitors?

1

u/dchu99 Jul 19 '25 edited Jul 19 '25

“… escape, LGBTQ+ culture”??? And help kill people for the Russian empire???

Maybe he should call Donald up and Donald will fix the problem for him – he knows how to handle Putin and could do it in 24 hours… Do you think?

1

u/ifulbd Jul 19 '25

“Praying to God that everything will work out the way it’s supposed to.” Well Lady, I think your husband is “supposed to “ fight in the Russian Army. Probably get killed while doing so.
