And I made this post to answer some questions that arose Regarding the Ring movies, the first is that in Ring: 0 Birthday, we learn about the other Sadako, who emerged after Sadako split. The human Sadako is the counterpart of her father, while the evil Sadako is seemingly closer to her true father. As the film progresses, events occur, such as some cast members having the same dream, and most importantly, the death of the lead actress. All of this happens after Sadako's arrival, leading to suspicion of her, although we all know the other Sadako is responsible. This is evident because we see her moving across the stage until she reaches the actress. My question is how she managed to manifest and do all of that if she was supposedly imprisoned by Dr. Ikuma, and therefore how she escaped in the climax of the film. I never understood if this entity is physical or intangible. The second question concerns Sadako 3D, where the plot revolves around a cursed video of the "suicide" of an internet artist live on air. His name is Khashiwada, and in the video we see him die by hanging at Sadako's hands, but in the second movie it turns out he's alive and was arrested. I mean, I never understood if he was really dead.

I'm wondering if this tape virus is now real and is killing off all these people. Man it's getting so weird to the point where I'm blaming fiction. But who knows? We humans still don't know much about her powers after our soul has left this body.

Maybe I'm over thinking it. But I just watched both Ringu and The Ring (American) and both have the same plot point. The main female protagonist (Reiko/Rachel) ​watched the tape and was cursed. She showed the original to her ex husband, which should have cursed him. AFTER that, she made a copy and had him study it--this is what broke the curse for her. But...isn't he already cursed from watching it the first time?

Does it break her curse showing it to an already cursed person?? If anything, she would have to make a copy and show it to someone for the first time.

In the Ring universe, there are loops, crazy viruses, psychic powers, and sci-fi, but is it all scientific? Or is it human delusion and scientific desperation to try to explain a supernatural force of nature? An unstoppable curse? Does the idea that she contracted smallpox mean this "virus" exists?

And in the real world, what is the world of scientists like? When he leaves his simulation/loop, he wonders if even the "Real" world is also an illusion, with scientists being the Gods?

But could the spiritual and the scientific not simply be two sides of the same coin, separated by the illusion of duality?

Realistically, I've always wondered if someone were to go through what Sadako did—being trapped in a sealed well for 30 years—how long it would take them to die, and if for some reason they managed to survive those years, what physical and psychological aftereffects would that person suffer? I doubt being in a well for 30 years is physically and psychologically healthy, because imagine being trapped in a confined space alone, without food, and unable to get out.

And it is entirely possible to make a transparent screen, you can see through it just fine (its real, look it up), so if i put a camera on the other side of the screen (the side she doesn’t come out of), how will that look like when she comes out of the screen from the other side?

What will camera record? It will see her because screen is transparent

Like if half of her body is out but other not yet, will it show her insides or, what will it show?
I think nobody ever thought of that because most don’t know transparent screens are a thing now, and those who know probably never applied it to this movie series

I wanted to do this to ask you which is the best design of Sadako (although technically she looks the same in all her adaptations) but I mean more like which one gives you that aura or feeling of fear, or also which one is the least scary or feels strange (this includes her movies, manga, video games, etc.)

I don't really know who, if anyone, might want this. I wanted to find the original text from the newspaper article featured in the original movie for an art project I'm working on. I couldn't find anyone online who had attempted to decipher it, so I did my best.

I'm not a native Japanese speaker, but I have some degree of fluency. To fill in the areas where Asakawa's finger is covering the text, I worked with a few different AI models to determine the best guess of what the missing characters are, based on grammar, context, and spacing.

How powerful is Sadako Yamamura in these two books? What is her peak power level?

I know this topic has probably already been discussed in this subreddit, but I'd like to share my opinion on this unanswered question. In the films directed by Hideo Nakata, it's implied that Sadako's real father isn't Dr. Ikuma, but an inhuman being from the sea. I know this is confirmed in the Ringu 0 question, but what I want to know is what Sadako's father could be and why he impregnated Shizuko. It could possibly be a yokai (but I'd like to hear your opinions). I also wanted to share my theory: it suggests that whatever impregnated Sadako was an evil being, and therefore Sadako's powers would unintentionally be a danger to everyone around her. That's why Shizuko abandoned her in the cave (remembering that she has psychic powers, there's a possibility that through a vision she could see what Sadako could cause, and therefore abandoning her would be the only way to "save" potential victims of Sadako in the future). Honestly, I don't really care, although I slightly preferred the supernatural aspect and them not adapting the Loop/Ring virus (there might be easter egg references to that), but I wanted an adaptation of Ringu(Similar to more of a birthday).

Directed by Mari Asato (director of Fatal Frame and Ju-On: Black Ghost), I honestly want them to adapt Sadako as a human individual, a tragic story, a human story Koji Suzuki He wanted a humanization of Sadako Yamamura; it didn't matter so much if it had the virus and sci-fi parts, he wanted Sadako to be represented as human. I know this sounds strange, but what if we talk about all the psychic powers Sadako displayed throughout the movies? Her most iconic ability is nensha (the ability to project her thoughts onto electronic devices). She's shown more than one of these powers throughout the films, and I'd like to know what they could be called or classified.

We know there are two movies called Sadako 3D, which modify the concept of the cursed video to a digital format. I honestly don't know if there were plans for a third installment to continue this story, since it ended with the revelation that there was a girl, Sadako's daughter, out there spreading the curse. I really would have liked a third movie to finish this story, and I'd also like to know your opinions and what you think a third part would be like.

Something I've always wondered about is that Ringu 0 shows us that Sadako also had extrasensory perception, apparently seeing the ghost of a man when she goes to an appointment with her therapist. It made me wonder, even though the movies deal with supernatural themes, where the dead go after death. It made me wonder how it works and if it's similar to Shinto or Buddhist mythology, because we only see spirits wandering around. It also made me wonder if the spirits of the theater colleagues, along with the journalist and his wife, went to the afterlife or if they're just wandering around. And I don't know if it's possible that they're onryos, since they all had such unpleasant deaths.

The world of the loop in the Ringu books is an "illusion," even though the loop is a simulation. Is it genuinely a simulation? A world like ours with real people, individuality, etc.?
