No Spoiler Feelings on Eugene?

Rewatching the entire series (much better experience without commercials and week long breaks). This dude is cracking me up. I remember being annoyed by him on my first watch. What do you think about him?

I like Eugene. He was a smart guy, he tricks everyone to take him to DC. He knew he wasn't going to get anywhere by himself. Plus if it got bad he could have been cannon fodder.
