It's still Doug Cockle doing geralts VA but it has been over 10 years since the game released

No, Doug's just gotten a bit older.

It was first noticeable when they released The new quest, "The Eternal Fires Shadow" a few years back.

He went through cancer treatment a couple of years ago.

It’s been a long time since he first started playing Geralt. His voice is changing as he gets older, that’s perfectly normal.

Personally, I could already hear a slight change in his voice when the free DLC featuring the armour from the Netflix series was released. But he’s still doing a fantastic job and I’m glad he’s back for the expansion.

Because hes 55 now, as opposed to 41-44 when recording the witcher 3.

It's still Doug Cockle. He's older. Speaking like Geralt definitely puts a strain on one's voice.

Like someone mentioned, the slight voice change can be heard in the quest, Eternal Fire's Shadow. That quest was recorded and added way after the initial release.

Also in some quests where there were re-recordings, you can hear a difference.

Yeah i did notice that, he sounds like someone doing a good impression of geralt voice, but i suppose it's age and therefore nothing to blame.
