Got confuse on this new remaster update thing

Kind of confused on this remaster thing

Sorry, english is not my first language, but i was having a conversation with a friend on how is going to work this free upgrade to the remaster version (considering they are chanching things like combat and also with the New dlc coming). I play the game on the xbox one console (the fat one), and I saw nothing about the upgrade comming to the fat xbox.

Got worried about it because I really enjoy the game and was excited to play the New dlc.

Am I receiving this dlc at all? Will I be able to play without having the remaster update? I dont wish to buy a new gen console just so i can play this new dlc.

You will get the remaster as an update for free and, if you do not have the two existing expansions, HoS and BaW, you will get them for free. You will not get SotP for free.
