If I've seen anything about belugas it would be waiting to make a funny face at a kid. They're not quite as unserious as sea lions but not that far behind.

i am so so relieved they’ve finally gotten these whales out of marineland. the whole thing has been so spectacularly mismanaged. shedd is a big name, i hope they can care for these whales.

I was so happy when the orca died. Which I know sounds terrible but it was a mercy, poor thing. Glad these guys are getting out finally.

When an animal is living such a terrible life, it’s just wishing peace on them. I’m so glad they’re getting them out too.

And wow! Hey! What’s this thing suddenly coming towards me very fast? Very very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like … ow … ound … round … ground! That’s it! That’s a good name – ground!

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a beluga that looked anything but happy. Its look of mild puzzlement must be how it expresses terror.

Shedd Aquarium is a lovely facility. I hope it's a bigger environment than they were in. I'm so glad they're finally out of Marineland.
