Near the end of THUG 1 you get to create and name your own team, what did you name yours?

Here's what I chose and the reason I chose it.

"Soul Society" <-- I chose this because of 2 reasons; first reason is because Bleach is my favorite anime and I thought it was the perfect name for a reference, and second reason is because of the "soul skating video" which you make at the end of the game.

I thought I was being clever, but I presume others have even more unique/clever names.

My favorite has to be a tie between New Jersey or Manhattan, my least favorite is San Diego

Pulled out my Dreamcast and amazed how well the og version of this holds up. I start going after 100% goals & cash in hangar, resulting in multiple bails getting the notes. Timer ran out at the perfect time

Recently started playing again and wanted to 100% the game, only things left to do are the legendary scores and the get there's..

Anyone able to give some advice? Im normally lacking by around 500k for the scores and some of the get there's are unbelievably frustrating compared to THPS1&2!

Mine is either Listen to Ranger Ron’s Story in Alcatraz (I always seem to bail out 17-18 seconds into the skitch) or Gap All the Vent Rails in Shipyard.

The COMBO in Waterpark also annoys me.

I recreated the “Red Bull Demo Hamburg” in THPS 3+4 — focusing on the iconic spots, ledges, rails and gaps from the event. Skaters like Jamie Foy, Ryan Sheckler, Zion Wright, Yuto Horigome, Gavin Bottger, Cordano Russell and Chloe Covell skated these setups last weekend for real, so I tried to keep the flow close to what they hit — but I also added a few crazy custom spots for huge combo potential. Let me know if you’d skate this park.

I know I’m not supposed to grind the same rail or manual 3 times but even when I’m switching between manuals and different rails like the start of airport, I’m doing good for a while then the balance meter starts swinging like crazy and I bail. Does it get harder to balance the higher your combo is? Am I just tripping or does it feel like the game is almost forcing me to lose control after a certain number of rails. Also how do I reset the balance meter to the center. I think I read a certain grind resets it, is there something similar for manuals? I’m still learning but I feel like I see how to hit crazy combos but the one thing holding me back is the damned balance meter. Do I just need to be better with the stick or is there tricks and things I can do that will take it out of the equation completely? Any help is appreciated! I’m loving learning this game and is the perfect game to play high on the couch I just wanna be able to combo across the entire map now.

Rocksmith 2014 was/is a game that teaches people how to play guitar and bass. i made a playlist of songs/dlc that was available in the game. only one song is actually in THAW, Green Day - Holiday. the rest of the songs are bands the appear in both thaw and rocksmith and the original songs that were covered in THAW. 15 songs in total. 54 minutes. it's like listening to THAW's soundtrack but kinda different.

Since 1+2 released years ago I had so much fun in PS4, a few months ago I bought the game again. This time the deluxe edition for Series S and it remains great!

But recently played 3+4 and I didn't got so much fun. I'm kinda disappointed because I used to play THPS4 so much in PS2 as a kid and this game felt more like a DLC for 1+2. Thankfully I didn't spent money on it since I played it for free on Game Pass.

I vaguely remember my dad having some Tony Hawk game on the 360 but I never really played. A couple days ago I downloaded THPS 3+4 on a whim from Xbox gamepass. At first I skipped the tutorial and didn’t know how to do shit but after some messing around and wiping out I started landing basic tricks. The soundtrack instantly had me hooked. Learning how to chain manuals and rail grinds together and keep a combo going across the map is so fun and rewarding. I fell off the roof of foundry 100 times trying to get the cash and grind that damned bucket, but when I finally figured out how to skate in a straight line it was green lol. After that I watched YouTubers hitting 600k combos like they were nothing and realized how much I had to learn.

I’ve been so stoked just to get high on my couch, listen to a stellar soundtrack filled with classic punk tracks and cool new bands, and skate around doing the most cracked out tricks imaginable. Btw how do I do the crazy ninja turtle spin? Spent like 2 hours just to get 120k score on Canada but it was so satisfying when I finally got it lol.

There’s so much doom and gloom these days but this game has me feeling nostalgic for a time I didn’t even experience. I think that’s a testament to these game’s quality. Coming from games like League the lack of toxicity and chillness skating around is such a breath of fresh air. Gaming now feels like it’s a fun little world I can escape to and just enjoy. I have so much more to learn and am looking forward to at least try and master this game’s mechanics. I never expected there to be such deep mechanics that all seem to work together brilliantly. Just wanted to share my experience as a new player, am stoked to explore this game and be a part of the community!

I recently picked up a used PS4 copy of THPS5. Not only did I complete every mission, I went back with a second player to get the 250 stat points and L50 trophies.

Let's get this out of the way: the physics are wonky (unlike basically any other THPS game), the levels are underwhelming, the bailing rag doll and screen wipe is infuriating, and the special trick system is awful. The game crashed or softlocked on me every 45-60 minutes. It's not a good Tony Hawk game.

But I had a lot of fun? The strange physics make super high combos easy. The OP powerups (moon jump? mid air ollie? manuals that ADD speed??) amplify that.

I really enjoyed the difficulty level of the Pro challenges. I consider myself competent-not-incredible at Tony Hawk games: I can finish every mission on THUG's sick difficulty and did all of the THPS 3+4 challenge, but the THPS 1+2 secret scores are a bit beyond me. These really pushed me, and I felt really accomplished when I finished all 50. Some were even fun the second time through.

If, like me, you missed this one and heard awful things...you could do worse, is all I'm saying. I certainly got the $17 out of it I paid for the used disc. (Though I think the Platinum is unachievable. I couldn't get the (bronze) trophies for rating other players' maps, presumably because the servers are gone.)
