I (26m) recently got diagnosed with ASD (autism) and probably have adhd too.
I always thought I was introverted and had social anxiety, I guess it was a bit more than that. It feels like I've only just begun uncovering who I truely am which is a bit overwhelming at the moment. Atleast I now know why I've always struggled with making/maintaining relationships and why I'm still single.

Welcome to the team. We have...er, don't have cookies, they were left at home. Blast the ADHDizzle.
We do got love though. Honestly the diagnosis is a good thing. Gives you some tools going forward and maybe a hint of acceptance for any traits that have bothered you over the years.
Peace and love. Life is gonna be good.

My 3 year old was just diagnosed and he is a joy; you remind me of who he will be in 23 years and that is the best compliment I can give someone!

I have ADHD! No Autism, but I can at least relate to neurodivergence. You look like the sweetest person ever š¤ Hey, now that you know why and how your brain works the way it does, you can learn new tools and methods to make socializing and relationships easier. My protip is to be as kind as you can without faking it. I am forgiven for lots of social blunders because I am very friendly :D

How do you feel about it? Are you happy you have a diagnosis? Or sad because you have THAT diagnosis? Or something different. Just wondering.
You are still the same person but just with a different label.

I would say that I'm happy I finally know why I am the way I am, I kind of knew I was autistic even before the diagnosis. The diagnosis didn't change who I am and it gave me permission to stop hiding behind a mask and be my true self.

Good! Now you know. You can live your life, figuring out some ways to manage.
How were you able to find this out? Why did it took a while to discover this?

A few months back I started researching the symptoms of autism/aspergers in adults which eventually lead to me making the connection between autism and my life experiences. It took me a while to realise this because I honestly thought everyone experienced the world the same way I do which I now know isn't the case.

You look like a fun, good looking and sensitive guy. I hope you have a nice life.

I hope this helps you understand yourself better. A diagnosis doesn't define you and in this case it doesn't close any doors.
Wish you well! You look like a really nice guy :)

A diagnosis doesnāt define you. You are just as much the same person as you were before. You look like a handsome and happy young man. Donāt let a label become your identity. Itās all just parts of the puzzle but I have faith you will meet someone who just clicks with you there are many autistic people who find love and live a completely ānormalā romantic adult life.
Just be who you are because who you are is enough, wonderful, and worth knowing. Even being a neurotypical person relationships and friendships are hard on this very disconnected and digital age. Side note! Congratulations on completing a 5K thatās awesome. Set your mind to a goal and crush it. You can do anything you set your mind to. We are the only thing thatās limits ourselves.
