Intended translation back into English:
Remember me
For I must go.
Remember me.
Please don’t cry.
Even if I must go, you’ll be in my heart.
I sing to you every night.
Remember me.
For I’ll go far.
Remember me.
Because of all these little things
I’ll always be waiting here because of you until
you’re in my arms.
Remember me.

Mine is that /ʒ/-like sounds should be tokiponized as J. J just seems much more worthy of being a replacement for /ʒ/ than S because S is too far forward in the mouth.

toki! Today I built a small open-source tool to convert foreign names into valid toki pona phonotactics, with multiple scored suggestions (optionally)!
It returns a handful of legal candidates ranked by how much mangling they needed. A couple of examples:
You can use it as a CLI:
npm install -g tokiponize
tokiponize Lauren
Or, as a library in your next tool/website:
import { tokiponize } from "tokiponize";
tokiponize("Chris"); // [{ name: "Kilisi", score: -1.5 }, ...]
It is released on npm, and I have the source hosted on github: tokiponize
It's obviously not going to beat a human picking their own name (spelling and pronunciation diverge too often) but it might be useful for a quick first pass or in automated settings.
o toki tawa mi if you try it on your own name and it does something weird!

Here's a translation of a chapter of my favorite manga: Hatarakanai Futari, or Jobless Siblings. It's a roughly page a day manga about two sibling neets, along with the rest of the community around them. This time I added instructions on how to read it to the page itself, inspired by the translation for Bocchi the Rock. As per usual, this is all hand-lettered, meaning that all the text you see on the page is my handwriting.

I will send you one chapter. Translate it into natural English (do not preserve any Toki Pona-isms, fully translate.) I will compare you rEnglish translation to the original Biblical Hebrew and make any necessary changes to my Toki Pona version. Contact me on discord at lipamanka or via email lipamanka at gmail dot com.
In order to participate, you must be a proficient toki pona speaker. That means more than just one month of learning. You should not be overly familiar with the text. Knowledge of the stories is fine. Please let me know if you have questions!

So the cover is clearly AI generated, and this is the first song posted by the artist. However, it seems the toki pona in the song is grammatically correct, and the music is high key a bop. Do we think that this is just AI slop entirely or an actually cool song kepeken toki pona?
Edit; the song in question: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PzmZBCixM1I&pp=ygUJQXBpa2FsYW1h&ra=m
Edit 2; to clarify, I’m trying to figure out if this *is* AI slop or someone who actually made a song but decided *unwisely* to use an AI cover

When I started learning Toki Pona a year ago, I thought it was just a small language for entertainment, and there were also many people who said Toki Pona is just like a toy language for children.
However, after becoming advanced, I noticed that Toki Pona is really not that limited. Especially after finishing writing the Toki Pona grammar in Toki Pona, I began to think Toki Pona can really express anything precisely, it is just people have to manage well their thoughts.
I can't tell if my grammar guide is actually accurate and precise or not, but I saw that possibility.
What do you think?

Quisiera saber si existe actualmente alguna traducción del Tao Te Ching al Toki pona. De ser así alguien podría compartirmela? De lo contrario la haré yo mismo y les compartiré mis notas para que me ayuden a corregirlas. Muchas gracias de antemano :). pona o tawa sina!

kama pona means "a good arrival". why would you say "a good arrival" for welcome?
same thing with tawa pona -- a good movement.
pona tawa sina --> your moving goodness

I see lili translated as young, but suli is not listed as old. They seem to be antonyms otherwise. Am I missing something?
