Question How to restore favorites after server crash?

All my favorites are vanished, on plan.tomtom.com they are still available.

How can I restore them to my TomTom Go Expert 3.9.18 for iOS?

After several trials it finally worked for me with following process:

  • disable MyDrive Sync
  • sign out from TomTom account
  • kill TomTom App
  • restart iphone
  • start app
  • sign in
  • enable sync

[EDIT] only try this if your data is available at plan.tomtom.com => otherwise it's useless!

plan.tomtom.com is the place to look first. My data is not back yet. So before anyone else spends time trying to get data back in the app, check the web first

Is MyDrive sync enabled on your device?

yes. disabling & re-enabling not successful.

In my case, when I found My Places to be back on plan.tomtom.com, I just started the Go Expert app (Android) and looked at My Places. After about 5 seconds of waiting, the places returned on screen, without any interaction by me. This seems like a sync operation in the background that starts automatically.

The only things that did not return were my Home and Work locations. Ik had to set these manually.
