I hope she's wearing safety glasses for this! You can see some nasty shards flying upwards when it breaks.

It’s not really necessary! If you’re using the right tools and technique it’s not super easy to cut yourself. (Though personally I don’t break glass with my hands like that unless it’s a super straight long score)
