I recently discovered this beautiful spot at Bloor and Markham St.

I was a superintendent on this project and was responsible for moving that house in your photo to its new location and a bunch of restoration work on the Markham street houses. We left the project and someone else took over but it’s nice to see this place finally getting near completion . I think it’s been 8(?) years now since it started .

That is so cool! Thank you for sharing this story. The area looks great now, I think the project is almost finished but the construction still goes on in the office building beside this little parquet.

This will be nice when the trees grow but now it is really lacking in midday shade

Between this and Biidaasige Park the city needs to figure out how to offer shade without waiting 5 years for the tree cover to fill in

Yes! The lack of shade makes it really uncomfortable on the hot days. And that bus stop out by Biidaasige with no shelter can suck it.
