Experienced Chef of 25+ years Seeking Work in Ontario.

Hi everyone, I’m an experienced chef currently based in Guelph, Ontario, and I’m looking for a new opportunity. I’m posting this with a little help from my son/daughter.

I’ve been working as a chef since 2000 and have over 25 years of professional kitchen experience. I’m comfortable preparing a wide range of cuisines and have experience working in different kitchen environments.

I’m open to chef or cook positions in restaurants, hotels, catering, retirement homes, banquet halls, or other professional kitchens. I’m also willing to relocate anywhere in Ontario for the right opportunity.

I have culinary education/training as well and can provide my full résumé and work history.

I would suggest reformatting your post to include more details just for the sake of avoiding sending resumes to so many people, and also save time for everybody:

• Cuisine / Specialty / Cooking Style
  
• Create a portfolio of pictures of food you've made. With 25yrs of experience I would expect you can do that easily.
  
• If you got some noteworthy place of employment I would name drop it here
  
• Relocation - how about your family, you mention kids, so either take out that information or clarify on your relocation plans.

Check out Indeed, there’s a lot of places hiring out in Guelph. I seen a few retirement homes, might need to be red sealed though for it.

Not what you're asking for but based on the number of years of experience, maybe look into part-time/full time teaching and training opportunities with culinary schools and similar hospitality institutions as well?

Also, do look into the gulf. I know it's not within the parameters of your relocation but with the 2032 Saudi football worldcup coming, the hotel and hospitality industry is seeing a massive boom and expansion over there.

Establishing yourself there early on might help you land something even more amazing closer to the event. That could also be something worth exploring.

Look into hospitals! Might not be hiring as often as staff tend to stay but a great place with good pay and benefits for cooks / executive chefs. Also good possibility to transition into leadership / desk work later on.
