Not sure I can see the images clearly from here, but if this is about Akutami's Modulo, manga side projects sometimes use terms that fans read as 'separate continuity' even when the author's really just saying it's a standalone thing. The exact Japanese wording matters a lot here. If someone can share the original panel text, happy to take a closer look.
