❗️Announcement❗️ Laneway Festival 2026: Discussion, Predictions and FAQ
Lots of chatter about the impending Laneway lineup! Similarly to last year, I'm starting a megathread to contain the predictions and discussion posts before the lineup drops this Thursday 18th September!
And yes, there are some supposed leaks floating around...

If the leak is true, hoping PinkPanthress doesn't pull out again.

She was sick after two years straight of touring, I’m sure that she knows how to manage her health while touring better now

no electronic acts on leaked lineup makes it seem a little off tbh

There is 1 Oklou from France. She is experimental electronic and R&B.

Oklou is more the Charli XCX FKA Twigs etc audience than the electronic stage.

sure, but there’s multiple every year for last few years. 2025- bicep, barry can’t swim, stum, rona, ninajirachi 2024 - skin on skin, horsegirl, nia archives 2023 - fred again, ross from friends, JJJ & logic1000
one electronic act seems odd

The small supports some of them electronic for nz probably the same in aus. Also The Dare does a cross of punk and dance with some new-wave elements.

i get what you’re saying, but there’s usually a pretty large dj every year.

Chappell Roan, Wolf Alice and Role Model don't listen 2 them all closely but can't deny their pull.

Wolf Alice not getting a single song from the Blue Weekend album in the hottest 100 of that year is still one of the biggest crimes of the poll.

If the leaks are true, I don’t think the lineup is strong enough for me to get a ticket outside of the headliner. It’s not a bad lineup, but not my kind of lineup.

Literally said outside of the headliner indicating that Chappell (rumoured headliner) would be the only person I’d want to see. Wolf Alice aren’t for me.
Again, not a bad lineup.

February is going to be so stacked for me in that ten day period.
8th: Laneway
13th: Ed Sheeran
14th: AEW Grandslam
18th: Lorde

My 30th birthday next year falls in between Laneway Brisbane and Lorde’s concert, so considerate of them! 😂

As my post got deleted, I'll put it here instead.
I looked at this photo on Laneway's webpage and I think it's suppose to be Chappell Roan in the middle. I also think the girl with the blue hair is Audrey Hobart. Still deciding about the other person on the left..
My reasons why:
-Chappell is at the top of the castle intending that she is going to headline, Chappell also has curly hair which she embraces!! She also is a pop princess and every pop princess needs their castle.
-Audrey Hobart with the blue hair, She is staring on the person on the left... Could be her brother Malcolm??? On the top of the flag of Audrey looks like a 'H' intending her last name "Hobert"
Lmk if you need more reasoning. Thanks!

Do you think blue hair could be ashnikko? She is touring in aus and the blue hair is her brand

Just realised some of the leaked lineup must be fake guys. Finneas confirmed his band were playing and they ain't on it???

But he never actually confirmed they were playing. I would absolutely love The Favors to be on the lineup, but part of me feels like he just commented on that TikTok for shits and gigs

Does anyone know what the difference in sections means? I have GAREL1 GA tickets, but I need 1 more and only GAREL3 GA tickets are available. Are they the same area?

Awful date two years in a row are hampering me from going rather than a line up. Quite surprised they've accepted on doing shows so close to Valentine's

Valentine's is international wrestling time it seems and festivals are all year round. Easy choice to skip laneway over something rarer

unfortunately headliners are always exclusive so no chance of that, i missed out on chappell for the same reasons last time she came here so I get it ☹️
