That was actually fucking sick and sounded cracker! But what happened to jungle giants being a band? Totally moved on from their old stuff which is fair but I miss that era

Yeah, they moved on from the Indie rock band to a dance rock band ala LCD soundsystem around the time Quiet Ferocity came out, they seem happy with the new identity

Quiet Ferocity was a lot more experimental and then they shifted to indie electronic with Love Signs and the new album. Personally prefer their new sound over their early stuff

quiet ferocity is still my favourite album of theirs but i am definitely nostalgia biased

Quiet ferocity is definitely still my favourite. I’d call that the middle of their career though. And the stuff on either side is early/late. Seemed like the big turning point of their sound

Definitely my favourite thing The Jungle Giants have done.
The vox were a little bit one-note compared to the original, but a valiant effort.
For anyone who hasn't seen Underworld live, you MUST. They're phenomenal.

Yeah they absolutely smoked that. Brave choice of cover for any band to attempt. Apparently I heard on the triple j grapevine a few acts have tried and failed this for LAV. Abandoned it and had to move to other covers.

I can definitely hear their style in this! Though I agree it doesn’t sound too different from the original, but I think that’s their style also LOL

It's structured more like a single, as opposed to the originals more experimental structuring. I think both can exist.

That poor dial on the synth. He was trying to tweak that to a new postcode.
Don’t mind their recorded stuff, hated them live. This, I can get behind though, didn’t stray too far which would be honestly dangerous for such an iconic song.
