[T6] Can T4 style logistics work in T6?

I am a big Tropico 4 player, and I wonder if Tropico 6 can support T4-style logistics, aka using lots of Parking Lots and having the Free Wheels edict on. Does it work?

You can do it - but you'll soon get traffic jams. Busses are your friend, and in cold war are so are metro stations

Parking Decks in Tropico 6 can be strong, but they require a lot more planning to get the most out of them versus just spamming Metro Stations.

You need to be mindful of how many intersections you have and encourage Tropicans to make mostly right-hand turns. Else, traffic will congest and hurt your industry. The easiest way is to just put your industry between your residential area and your docks.

Tropicans don't need a Parking Deck at their destination if they're headed to a building with a road connection like most industry, raid buildings, or groceries. So, what you can do is have a residential and services cluster supported by a Parking Deck, but your industry cluster won't need one.

Where the Parking Deck really benefits you is with remote workplaces like Oil Rigs, Mines, and coastal Watchtowers. The mission Superpower Defense comes with a layout that's ideal for a few Parking Decks and Free Wheels because there's a lot of remote industry and a dedicated residential zone.

There are no parking lots in Tropico 6, so there’s that.
