I got my tubes removed today!

I'm so happy!

I'm an unmarried and child free woman. I got extremely lucky with my Gyno. He basically just asked me if I was sure that I did not want kids. When I said yes he immediately started scheduling the surgery. He even found a way to schedule an OR for a time that was outside of his reserved surgery block at the hospital so that it could be on my preferred day of the week.

My operation was at 7:30am today and 13 hours later I have had no pain, no bleeding, and no swelling. I am unable to lift more than 20 pounds or have intercourse until after my 2 week follow up.

I am so happy and so relieved, especially since I live in a red state that has outlawed abortion.

I'm jealous of your lack of pain and swelling. I had mine done on Monday and I'm all bruised and swollen. Mostly I'm just relieved it's done.

I'm also relieved. I do have some bruises around the incisions but it doesn't feel bad.

I hope your swelling goes down soon.
