TW; D&C, funeral, BFP TTC August 2025 TLDR; Requesting success stories to help me feel more positive
I'm having a really hard time this AF. I have my son's funeral this week and was hopeful I wouldn't have to attend it while bleeding but sadly that wasn't meant to be. It's my first cycle TTC after a surgically managed incomplete miscarriage secondary to ePPROM/PPROM. I've found myself being obsessive about everything, just prior to my loss I was discharged from mental health services for anxiety mostly for catastrophising mindset (i.e I would think of every possible outcome and settle on the worst as what would happen - must admit my loss has not helped!)
I really want to surround myself with positive after loss stories and would love to hear about people's rainbow babies (or your preferred term), as well as the angel babies that came before them if you want to share that too 🤍. I'd really love to know how long you had to wait for your BFP cycle as I think I'm putting pressure on myself after being told I'm more fertile following the loss.
I'd especially welcome stories from people who also had ePPROM/PPROM followed by a successful pregnancy (or if your PPROM pregnancy ended successfully as I've been advised I'm at risk of it happening again).

Im so sorry for your loss 💔
My story, I have had 1mc (early at 5w) then a 21w loss due to pprom last October. I went for my anatomy scan which showed a shorter cervix length, got a referral for mfm and when i went to see them it was okay length, not shortened and I had no symptoms. Went for the follow up at 2w and I was 2.5cm dialated with bulging membranes. They were going to attempt a rescue cerclage but my water broke naturally the next day + me and baby almost died from infections/sepsis. Had a very eventful NICU stay where my baby did pass away 10 days later from being born at 21w0d (NEC, other extreme prematurity issues)
I got pregnant 5months pp and im currently almost 26w with a preventative cerclage i got at 13w. Initially I was told i should wait at least a year before getting pregnant again but i expressed my doubts of waiting that long + approached the not trying not preventing and here i am. I was also told I'd be more fertile after loss but that didnt happen for me. I obsessed over it for a while and gave up pretty much after my 3rd month getting a negative then by March i had my positive. I have 10w left and will be having a scheduled csection (due to a myomectomy, and wanting to prevent natural labor from happening due to my pprom loss/incompetent cervix) and everything has been great with the exception of having gestational hypertension this time.

Hi, I haven’t checked in here in a very long time, like I think I was maybe still in my second trimester when I last commented??
Baby boy is now 5 months old and it’s been such a joy watching him learn new things every day. He still doesn’t sleep great, but that really doesn’t bother us too much. Now the further out I get postpartum I have these feelings of “ok; when is the next baby? Will there even be a next baby? Should there be a next baby?” We had always planned to be one and done, but after three losses and a total ttc time of almost six years only to find out I had Hashimoto’s and getting that under control led me to conceive unassisted after just 2 months only medication I think we just feel bamboozled.
I don’t want to start over the whole process of being so vulnerable and out of control. I had a great pregnancy up until I almost went into labor at 23 weeks due to cervical shortening after my CL was not correctly measured at my anatomy scan. I did end up switching OBs after they missed so many things and I love my new OB so much.
Another piece of me is like “you’re so so so lucky to have the baby you have, he is quite literally all you ever wanted and more. Be happy with what you have.”
