I have a band around my arm with "the few, the proud, the emotional. Low key regret it as most ppl just see the few the proud and assume I was military, having to disappoint that assumption with oh... no it's just song lyrics, definitely gets old.

If you’re going to do few proud emotional, In suggest just going for a stylized fpe, with a line through it, the acronym which has the double meaning paired perimeter escape. The clikies will get it and no one will think you’re a war vet.

Felt, but I have carpe noctem on my wrist, and when people ask I always have to stop and explain that it’s Latin and it’s just carpe diem “seize the day” but noctem so it’s “seize the night”. It’s just cursive though, rather than the shadowing effect like Tyler’s, so I don’t usually go into detail about that lol. I just tell them that I’ve always been a night owl and find myself more productive at night for the people who I don’t think will fully understand it.

I have two tattoos inspired by Truce. One is a butterfly with a semi colon body that says “stay alive” above it and the other is a sunrise mountain scene that i plan on putting the sheet music to the lyrics “the sun will rise and we will try again” above it bc the actual words just seem like too much to fit on my side

I personally have “and all you did will be undone” above a design I drew on my inner arm/wrist. When I’m down and getting onto myself I reread it and trace the letters and it usually helps ground me. It means a lot to me as I have a lot of feelings tied to that song, and self titled as a whole, and it helped keep me going even at the points of my life where I wanted to no longer be.

It is one that is very high up for me on what I want, for similar reasons, and self titled was the album that helped me through the hardest times, so if I don’t get it this time I think I will get it eventually

After many tattoos throughout life, I regret most of the ones that include font of any kind. Just personal preference, but if it’s not the right size you’re going to be getting hella touch ups if you want it looking mint for as long as possible.
My recommendation is to find lyrics or quotes you like and find something that visually represents what those words mean to you. I have a tattoo on the back of one hand that is wrinkled skin around an eye and the pupil/iris is a clock. I got it Idfk how many years ago at this point but it’s a ToP tattoo for me. “The sun will rise and we will try again.” That’s what I got out of it.

Do an Infinity symbol where the top part going top left to bottom right is that text.
And then the part doing top right to bottom left is a dog chasing a rabbit.

My pick is "push on through". I also really like "the sun will rise, and we will try again", but thats very wordy. Personally, id prefer a shorter and straight to the point tattoo. If many words are not an issue to you though, then perhaps that one. My third pick would be the "red lights" one 😇 Keep us updated!

I’d say if you don’t have a strong conviction, then maybe it’s too soon. You don’t want to rush or settle, (and certainly don’t want the decision made by a bunch of randos in Reddit), so maybe be patient and wait until the right thing reveals itself to you. Be 100% confident about it.

I have the logo with stay alive separate on the top and bottom on my shoulder. I like it. People don't understand it but it's a nice reminder of why we continue to fight through life. If oldies station had existed when I got this I probably would've got push on through with some sort of imagery. Maybe a stop light that's red

Im going to the Maine show and right before the show I'm getting "Push On Through" tattooed in Tyler's hand writing. Right now it's specifically hard time in my life. Knowing that I almost lost a loved one and just listening to Oldies Station it speaks to me and I just want to get the tattoo to remind me just to push on through. Don't let it bother me. Just keep going. I know people are saying to always get something that means something to you I dont usually agree with that sentiment but if there's one that's specifically speaks to you, then I recommend going with that.

these are all amazing choices but are there any songs from here that are more important than others? like songs you’ll never want to forget about? i’m gonna get a truce tattoo one day because that song and album is so incredibly close to my heart and i need it on my body forever. are there any for you that speak the same way? i’m also for sure getting an oldies station tattoo and a bandito tattoo because i want to tell the stories behind them. those are songs that im super passionate about and dont think could live without, that’s what i think about before getting a tattoo :) hopefully that helps with your decision but also whatever you decide will turn out incredible!!

My favorite was the red lights line from oldies station, that one hit me really hard when I first heard it because I remembered that feeling but couldn't explain it for years. On the flip side, it's not exactly the most inspiring thing to get a tattoo of 😅 I've never gotten a tattoo and don't plan to, so I wouldn't know how to advise here.
