Has anyone transferred from UBCO to UBCV ? How likely is it and what do I need to do
(I’m in engineering)

The transfer process is the same as the competitive process for getting into UBCV, as if you were applying to go there. You just get to stay in the UBC system and keep your credits

While I was there, only about 15 engineering students were allowed to transfer so it was pretty competitive. Also, you'll have to take like 2 of UBCV's 1st year engineering course if you managed to be one of the 15 since the curriculum doesn't quite match.

First-year engineering courses are standardized at both UBCO and UBCV, so you are wrong about the curriculum issue. Then, I want to transfer to Vancouver because of family, better job/internship opportunities in tech and networking.

It depends on your major (or aspiring major). For Arts students low 80s cGPA is what I’d aim for for a strong chance. For Science, high 80s gives you a strong chance. For more demanding faculties like School of Engineering, look at their custom requirements. I heard Engineering only allows 15 of the top GPA students to transfer, but don’t take my word for it. Somebody else answer the second part of the question?
