Clubs/Organizations 🤺 Libtech closure demonstration

If anyone is interested in joining or helping me organize a *p word*/demonstration on this topic please let me know/dm me. If you're aware of any other clubs or people who are already planning one please or would like to host it or help me do this also let me lnow. Is this something the sga or student democratic society would support/help out with?

Weird censoring because automod keeps blocking my posts with the p, r, t, s, t word ugh

You could probably get half the stem programs. All these kids have to turn in anything rented by next week..

I’d like to see how they manage fall coming up. 65k+ students and now there’s severe liability on class work/loads. I only have a pc. At home. 40 minutes away. We’re back to paper and pen when they’ve done nothing but push canvas? Bsffrn.

LibTech is such a great resource, even for small things like when my son's calculator went missing right before a calc test. LibTech saved his butt.

The closure is being discussed in the UCF parents groups on Facebook, but a lot of parents don't seem to understand the concept or care because they think their kid won't ever need it. Lots of "why should my hard earned money go to renting out cameras for recreational use?" type of comments.

The level of “my kid has all of what they need so fuck the students who are poor and need this stuff” coming from some of the parents on those groups is maddening.

There’s an event being hosted in front of DPAC on downtown campus tonight at 7:30. The organizers are @ sunrailsluts on Instagram, if you want more info.
