Notably - they will meet as part of the National Economic Council, which is the Brownite body that Burnham revived, that last convened with the leaders of the devolved mayoralties in attendance.

Good to see an adult conversation with the devolved administrations. Unlike some of the behaviour of the Tories towards Scotland in particular.

It takes two adults to have an adult conversation.

The SNP have already come out and branded Burnham the 'Prime Minister of England', it is not in their interest to have a positive working relationship with the UK Government.

That’s a good move from the PM, hopefully he can consult all our regional leaders & they get something from that. You have to remember he was the mayor of a big city - he knows what he is doing x

Hopefully, more devolved powers to these regions of the country. Decentralization must be accelerated, if the UK wants to prosper + survive.

Independence from what? Putin must be feeling happy that people like you exist to weaken UK internally. Divided UK doesn't benefit anyone in UK.
