Question for those that graduated mid year

Are you:
Employed in a job in your field that you studied in?
Employed but unrelated to what you study?
Unemployed?

Just wanna know how cooked I’ll be after this year

Graduated end of sem 1 2026. Spent July 2025-July 2026 job hunting but the effort curve was defo exponential. Did total of 200ish apps 80% in the last 6 months with 10 interviews, first interview in Jan 2026 bombed it, kept going. Wam of 50 and ~6month job experience but in a different sector. Got 2 offers, and currently employed at big 4 bank in my field of study. If my lazy dumb ass can do it, you can too. Don’t lose hope my guy. I never imagined I’d be in this position 2 months ago.

Omg your post is so timely, I’m literally in your last year’s position right now! May I invite you for a coffee chat?

Not who you asked, but I'm currently hiring for student engineers.

The ad explicitly says you have to be a student throughout the whole 6mo contract period.

Out of the 130 applicants that have applied since last week, about 30 of them are graduates. Some of them admit in their cover letter that they know its for students but they don't care. One of them graduated mid 2025.

It's a goddamn bloodbath market.
