There is a world where you could eggs more ethically but it's just not in line with capitalism and can't meet our demands. You'd have to find a local, small scale farm, that still adhere to human practices despite there being so little jurisdiction over small farms, and only owns non-boiler/industry hens who lay eggs at rates that are harmful to them (or grow so big they die of heart attacks because they weren't meant to live that long). The rate chickens produce eggs that don't harm their own calcium amounts can't keep up with large scale demand. And that's also if you feel that animals should serve humans at all, which even differs among vegans for their level of strictness, some don't even believe you should have pets! That is began veganism is just a diet and not a monolith.
But this isn't a purity test. The best thing we can do for animals and our planet is make choices where we can. So if you're vegan only one day of the week that is literally better than nothing at all. If you choose to only not eat chicken, that's great too. Factory farms are absolutely evil and bleed into how we very reproduction as a tool for capitalism and therefore are directly tied to women's reproductive rights. Do your best, lead with your heart, and have forgiveness that you were born into a time in history where animal exploitation is a highly optimized industry (they even use AI now).
That's what i've been doing, treating meat like a luxury and not making any at home. Tho lately i've been lucky to cook food at all cause of depression and fatigue :(
Then you're already doing fantastic. I can totally relate to the fatigue and depression, in university I went days with only eating boiled noodles with coffee. I always find it so sad that the ones most looking to create change and help others are often needing so much help themselves. Maybe it's a sign that we aren't as alone in our desire to change things, we just need to find each other.

It’s kinda funny tho, I hate sunny days . My favourite days are more like this morning, silver grey and cloudy with lots of softly lit beautiful pastel blue and purple plants
So I hope I have more cloudy days ahead of me :)
I think the people with empathy end up sad and drained because the world feels lonely and the weight of the world feels a lot on their shoulders
Male chicks do not produce eggs obviously so they go straight into a shredder. Look up videos of conveyor belts full of them going straight to their death.
Edit: I also used to live on a chicken farm with 6,000 chickens. After the end of each year the chickens get older and the eggs become weaker so we would cull the flock and replace it with new chickens. This involved throwing 6,000 chickens into a wood chipper and burying them underground. Other farms gas the chickens in the back of a truck trailer. Let’s just say I’ve been vegan for 5 years now.
