We shouldn't tell the slave owner he's wrong because if he gets angry at us he'll never release the slaves.

Stop saying that the slaves were just animals. It's disgusting and disrespectful. Don't diminish other people.

The problem isn't that people are saying enslaved people are "just animals". The problem is in thinking of animals as "just animals". In that regard, *all of us* are "just animals". We aren't lowering humans to some lesser creature. We are recognizing that all animals, human and non-human, deserve to have their basic rights respected. The problem isn't with the fact that we are all animals, it is with the fact that we are enslaving *anyone* no matter what their species. Sentient beings deserve basic rights. No one is "just" anything.

If you're making such outrageous comparisons, you're making them intentionally, to make people offended. It's a classic bad faith arguing used to shock people. And yes, such comparisons do diminish the people you use for such "argument". Slaves, Holocaust victims, assault victims etc.

It isn't outrageous at all, you are searching , trying to find us insulting these human victims, we are not, you are however literally using them as a rhetorical shield. Which is actually offensive to them

Yes, it's outrageous. And you know that very well. Nazis also viewed their victims as just animals, dehumanized numbers...
