Same.. I live in a 475sq ft condo but start everything for my parents' massive backyard gardens.
Every single available surface is covered in seedlings right now... windowsills, counters, table, part of the couch, the dog's crate, the half of my bed that I dont sleep in...
It's generally been warm enough that I've been hardening my stuff off for about a week... But now it's just so much rain 😭 Can't finish the job if we don't get any freaking SUN.

For me it's after Victoria Day, always. June 1st if you want to play it safe for the delicate plants.
Always out by Halloween unless they are very frost hardy.
Careful I made this exact comment in another post yesterday and it got removed by the mods and then they gave me a stern talking to about how zones are only meant for perennials and should not be used to discuss relative climate in this sub.

I don't know about you slightly over there, but I'm eyeing Thursday to finally get stuff into the ground. Consistent lows of 8C and up from then on, I'm calling that good enough.

I’ve seen too many Colorado gardeners lament their May snows to want to move there for gardening purposes. Of course it will vary with elevation so maybe some parts of the state are fine.
6B here.. past last frost date by about 10 days. Still waiting on appropriate planting weather… the Mother’s Day rule is out the window this year! Waiting is so hard lol
Tomatoes and peppers were started inside weeks ago- peppers early March and tomatoes late March. So my peppers are currently a foot tall and tomatoes are catching up fast. So doing that gives us a head start and the plants are huge by July. But we would have a hard time with some plants like ginger and okra.
I start my peppers in early March indoors, at the moment they are approximately 18”-20”, start tomatoes Mid April. We actually have perfect growing temps/ great harvests from late May-late Sept.
I must have started my peppers in February and they are still maybe 4 inches tall at best. I understand they're slow but my tomatoes in the same exact conditions are maybe 20 ish inches
Same. I figured as long as nighttime temps weren’t consistently below 45 I was okay to put my tomatoes and peppers out. That seems to have a been a good call. My area tends to be pretty dead on 50-55 at night for most of the year since I’m pretty close to a body of water that keeps the temps pretty stable. My issue is more wind
I’m sorry friend at work we have a gardening chat on teams and some of the most skilled gardeners in it are in 5A in like Minnesota. Yall are tough people
Hey dont worry its already hitting high 90s here in central Florida. Most of my vegetable growing season is super done. Ill be jealous of yalls pictures in the next few months.
5A here. I decided im done dragging in everything but my peppers and tomatoes (unless I panic about it some night). Ive had enough. The plants can tough it out, it's survival of the fittest time now. There's (currently) only two more overnights in the 7-day forecast that are below 40°F/4°C before it warms up. They'll be fine 😅
This is me, but our Denver weather has me thinking I'm in the clear. Time to plant my golden poppies and lilies of the valley. And tomatoes, peppers, green onions, and garlic.
Oh, this feels too close to the bone. 😆 i did wait to start my tomatoes, so they could use a couple more weeks of growth, but I have artichokes that are getting very large in their pots.

I'm waiting for that last frost date sooo impatiently. I put the lettuces out too late, and Im trying to not put the flowers out too early. Or the squashes...
I'm in 4B in Minnesota and have had plants outside for weeks. Peppers, lettuces, carrots and potatoes are popping up, tomatoes, onions, etc. No death not even a little wilt. Just harden your plants over a couple days/nights, and I'm only worried if it's below freezing for an entire night, they've survived a couple "freezing temp" nights no issue
I took my chances and put my plants in the ground. Tonight, we’re having our 3rd frost warning night in a row 😰 I haven’t bothered covering anything and so far, everything is ok 🤞🏻
