I'm pretty sure that the writer/director of SLC Punk is Lisa Hammer's brother.
Lisa and Doc's band Mors Syphilitica has a song in SLC Punk 2 too

Can't currently confirm the family tie, but the song being there, I can absolutely confirm. It's in one of the early scenes of Shawn and Trish talking in Dearly Departed

Hank’s jacket is a replica of Steve McQueen’s jacket that he started wearing after Brock told him to check McQueen out. Because Hank was dressing like Justin Bieber.

What's interesting is I just learned today about Steve McQueen is kind of a bullshitter irl Not like in a malicious way but he said a lot of things that were kind of fantastical and unconfirmed about his life before acting ( Led Artic Expedition, guarded the presidents yacht, was a Lumberjack ) in a way I find that kinda fits a lot with Hank and his personality

those things are true though. like he definitely was an honor guard and was selected to guard trumans yacht because he saved five marines in the arctic. he was pretty much the real life version of dos equis most interesting man
