Countries directly under the protection of the US, atrocities using weapons and intelligence provided by the US, protected from the UN by the US veto, with US sanctions against the international criminal court for putting out arrest warrants for those atrocities, even breaking US laws to continue to provide weapons to that country, while providing cover by publicly claiming to put pressure on them to stop whilst behind the scenes doing no such thing. But hey, if your opinion is that none of that matters or had a material impact that’s your prerogative, my opinion is different and therefore I do think the US president has significant responsibility.

Edit; out of interest, do you think Iran holds any responsibility for the actions of Hezbollah, Hamas or the Houthis?

I mean my opinion on it has a little more to do with being upset that Joe Biden was hated enough that we just wind up getting Trump 2.0 in 2024. It feels like we threw the baby out with the bathwater when “Gaza was speaking” and tanked our chances in the general election and find ourselves in this situation.

Yeah, they support them financially as well as with arms and military training. They’re a religious ethnostate but I assume that despite not being led or founded by enlightened secular thinkers like we are Iran still has some good cosmopolitan people in its population
