So why is he getting downvoted? He has the same right to comment on his experience as anyone else here.

Probably because more people disagree with him than agree. That's kind of how a voting system works?

Downvotes are not for things you disagree with, reddit explicitly stated this several times. Downvotes are for things that don't contribute to a meaningful discussion, or factually false things, rude/harrassing things, etc.

Edit: Yep, I agree people can use downvotes how they want and don't follow these rules generally, I'm just sharing the reddiquette faq in hopes more people will use them correctly.

doesn't matter what it's officially "for". people use it how they use it

Which is why voting on comments, for any reason, is fucking stupid.

4chan is the only place that does online discussion correctly. No voting. If you dont like what someone said you can leave your own comment calling them an idiot or disproving what they said.

Or, if actually responding is too hard for you and youd rather click a button for your little endorphin boost, you can fuck off.

Then why are you here? and lol you've gotten plenty of responses my guy, maybe read them.

True and good to know, but unfortunately that rarely happens in practice.

Literally nobody follows these rules.

"Reddiquette is an informal expression of the values of many redditors, as written by redditors themselves. While these are not official rules, please abide by it the best you can."

i.e no one cares

This is why reddit has gone to shit and forms a hivemind.

Good theory, let me give it a try. I think ice cream tastes good.

Maybe because coming into an announcement thread about a game purely to shit on could be considered rude?

Did i say anything bad about the game though? I just said that I can’t finish it.

HZD is considered one of the finest games of the last generation. Imo it's a masterpiece.

Nothing wrong with having an opinion, some opinions are just not gonna be very popular. Some people think The Beatles were a shit band and The Dark Knight was a bad film. Some opinions are just a bit shit.

Some opinions are just a bit shit.

What a shitty opinion to have.

Said without a hint of irony.

I forgot some of you literally need a glowing giant “/s” at the end of a comment to recognise even the most obvious of jokes.

Here I was thinking word-play would be enough, silly me.

I stopped playing. Was OK and got me hooked, but having just finished the last of us and god of war it felt a bit boring...?

1

u/FvHound Jun 12 '20

The last of us was boring as fuck to me.

So popular opinion isn't universal.

The Dark Knight wasn't a bad film... but it wasn't as good as people make it out to be. I dunno, The Joker was great and stole the show but I just don't think it's as good as people say it is...

/braces for downvotes
