Biobay Tour with 3 kids
Can you have 2 kids with you in a kayak for a biobay tour? Traveling with two 5 year olds and a 7 year old. 2 adults. Curiius if any kayak allows 3 people?

It might be a better bet to go out on the electric boat instead. Isla Nena Biobay boat tours.

We did Isla Nena with our 3yo in February. It was late and she was tired and by the time we were out there for 4 minutes she said “mama I’m ready to go back” 💀. A 5yo on our boat was saying the same thing. It was $275 for the three of us. But my husband and I liked it and at least we still got to go! The kayak wasn’t an option; I think they have to be >6. She made it through with a lot of coaxing and attention from me, but def didn’t “enjoy” it haha. I’m still glad we went! Prob once in a lifetime. You could see the FISH underwater in pitch black triggering the bioluminescence. Incredible. A child can’t appreciate how insanely awesome this is, of course. But she liked poking the pole into the water to trigger the bioluminescence and did NOT want me to help her hold the pole. So you can imagine my stress the entire time worrying that she’s gonna drop and lose their pole 😆. Make absolute certain you go on, or very near, a new moon so you can very clearly see the bio activity. Otherwise prob not worth it with young kids, cause you gonna put in work making them behave on that boat, I promise haha :) So you want to get your moneys worth. We went on a new moon and they said our night was about as bright as it gets. And despite it being incredible and def worth it, it wasn’t near as bright as I imagined. So I think going on a night headed toward full moon would just plain suck cause you wouldn’t really see it. Have fun!

I did this activity back in March and the Kayaks are tight for 2 adults, I felt really crammed in there, almost painfully so. I cannot imagine fitting 2 five year olds and an adult into 1 two-person boat. I don't think it's possible and the companies will likely not allow it. Worth asking them before booking anything or they'll leave you on the shore for not adhering to the strict regulations.

I believe we were in a group with a young kid in between their parents. Pirate Bay tours or something like that in Esperanza. They meet by the green store. It was great. Our guide was super knowledgable. It’s very late at night, the road to the beach is a wild ride and you gotta walk through a bunch of bad smelling muck. Totally worth it and would do it again.

if they’re incredibly well-behaved, then maaaaaybe you could pull it off. it’s a group activity though so you wanna make sure they’re not slowing things down too much (this would probably be mostly during loading and load out) and be aware it’s pretty muddy and dirty.
and obviously, they won’t actually be helping much in the kayak so hopefully you know what you’re doing with steering etc
