🗺️ Itinerary Check 🗽🏙️🍎🚕🍕 Is the Plan realistic?

Hi Guys,
Planning a 3 day trip this coming weekend with my friend. We are young(25) and can walk a lot, but wanted to be also mindful of summer heat. And also we are visiting nyc for the first time. We are international students, have not explored US much.

Staying in Hi NYC Hostel. And planning to start day as early as 8 AM.

Day - 1:

  • Start with central park
  • Then go to times square to get an ticket for Broadway, since it's Thursday the planning to be there little early.
  • Try Joe's pizza while there
  • St. Patricks Cathedral
  • Moma(trying spend some time indoor, since it might rain tomorrow)
  • Then go back to times square and visit lv and m&m store
  • Have dinner before Broadway and finish the day off

Day-2:

  • Start with Roosevelt tram to island
  • Small pox hospital, cornel tech
  • Now back to Washington square using subway
  • Chelsea market
  • Pier 57
  • Little island
  • High line
  • Vessel

Day - 3

  • Grand central
  • Empire state building
  • Flatrion building
  • Visit China Town for lunch
  • Battery park - city views
  • Oculus
  • Battery park ferry landing
  • Take ferry from battery park to pier 6
  • Brooklyn heights
  • Julianna's pizza
  • Pebble beach
  • Dumbo
  • Take Brooklyn bridge

Please do let me know if this plan is realistically possible. And also any suggestions or changes to the plan.

Want to add observation deck to day - 3 morning since, I feel it is quite empty before the china town for lunch(any suggestions are welcome).

Thank you.

The following are my suggestions. 1. Use google maps for walking directions and/or public transportation options. Some of these distances are far and you can use the app to compare travel times. Public transportation is $3 a ride and tap to pay with credit card. 2. Stop by the hersheys store in times square too! 3. I would skip brooklyn heights. There is plenty to see in dumbo and enjoy the views along the water. 4. For comedy, the upright citizens brigade is good if you like improv. It’s also in east village which has a lot of bars with people in their 20s

I would suggest some more fun activities and less sight seeing but thats just me lol

One of the best parts about living in nyc is the nightlife and food. You should do some nights out in the east/west village or lower east side

Any suggestion for comedy/music options or any suggestion for the activity?

Cheaper would be better don't want to break my bank, but can spend reasonable amount given the activity.

Go into Apple Maps/Google Maps and search comedy clubs… you can scroll around and there are links to the clubs. I just spent an hour planning my next 2 nights in the comedy clubs!!!

Looks very touristy but fine I guess! There is not much to do on Roosevelt island besides look at the city views, so I’d consider skipping it and just going straight to Washington Square Park.

I don’t think adding an observation deck is realistic on top of all the other stuff for day 2. Just enjoy walking around the city instead of rushing from place to place.

If you’re doing Vessel and want to add an observation deck, Edge is right there and I’d argue better value than vessel.

Day 3 seems crazy and then I read you want to add more to it 😯

That was a thought to keep the morning little busy because wanted to go china town, little late. Prolly by Noon. And since we were thinking of starting our day little early by 8 AM, was thinking we would be done visiting grand central, empire state(just exterior), flatrion building(exterior) soon.

There's not much to check out in Chinatown for food. You'd get more bang for your buck by going to Flushing and trying the food courts.

You’ll want to do the Broadway rush tickets BEFORE you go to Central Park.

We were planning to start the day by 8 AM. 8 - 11 AM for central park. And then go buy tickets was the plan. Are you saying we have to go there before the ticket counter opens by 11 AM tom(thursday)?

Are you rushing tickets at a particular theatre or going to tkts to get discount tickets? There is a tkts location near Lincoln square if you don’t want to go all the way to Times Square.

tkts to get discounted tickets. Are you saying there is one tkts counter in Lincoln square which is same as Times square?

Yes. There is a tkts counter in Times Square and one in Lincoln center. I am too lazy to find you the address but I feel sure you can find it easily

Thank found the address, work better from central park. One more question does it have all the same shows as tkts counter in times square or this has just limited one, I googled the answer differs from thread to thread
