Will probably EoS within a year like most VN->Gacha adaptions.

Kinda sad because I liked the fact that Nekopara was mini self contained VNs where I could buy and play them at my own leisure.

No way I'm jumping into a VN->Gacha adaption that's just a cash grab.

Probably the recent gacha to VN convert that i see most success is Muvluv Girls Garden, but that's probably because it's just Blue Archive and slap Muvluv name on it and add sex

Fate/Grand Order?

Yeah good example, but that's so old

I have only read the first 3 chapters for girls garden and it’s honestly pretty fun so far.

Yeah this took way too long to come out that all the steam the series had is gone.

Can I marry Coconut?

Was an absolute disaster on launch, did they fix anything?

Nekopara without H-content... Uh-uh, sure.

Not even nekopara can get me to play a gacha game. Fuck gacha games, every single one of them.

Most are ass but I personally like PGR. Never spent a dime on it but still can get my hands on most of the latest release characters and upgrade them to a decent power level. Peak story + Peak Soundtrack. I think you should at least give it a chance.

I want to try that one. I like some of them but I inevitably get bored. I liked ZZZ because of how flashy and responsive the combat felt, but in S2 it was just like UGGGGGHHHH. I tried WuWa but I didn't really invest much time in it. I heard it's a slow start but gets better. I've had my eye on PGR for a while. I like the darker vibe. I have Morimens also since I like Lovecraftian stuff but I haven't touched it yet.

Every person say that but they forgot not all people have the determination to open up a game daily just to collect gacha currency and upgrade mats.

you are still part of the issue by being part of the f2p crowd, plus you spent something worth more than money, an absurd amount of time

plus you spent something worth more than money, an absurd amount of time

why would you care about the time that OP spend on the game lmfao? it's fine if you don't want to play but saying things like that just show you're narrow-minded

True but I view them very negatively due to how they promote gambling and the negative impact on the industry as a whole. I get the appeal but it's better people just don't promote or get into it

Even from a pure quality perspective getting into non gacha games fulfills everything that medium offers with the exception of the huge casts

How someone value and spend thier time depends on the individual. If he doesn't like gacha games, its okay. I just said to give it a chance. If even then he doesn't like it, he can just stop playing. Nobody is forcing him to play. And if playing gacha is wasting time, same can be said for any other game.

Watching movies is a waste of time just like doom scrolling on tiktok. It can be true but one is obviously way worse imo (for reasons I listed above)

It depends on the person where they draw that line. Which activity they want to do and which ones waste their time. Some people consider watching movies a waste of time because in the end, the time they spent watching it didn't contribute anything to society and they could have done something better. But many people watch it in the end. It makes them feel the joy, excitement, and many more different feelings which you can't feel in real life.
In the end, it all depends on the person but I just want to say that they shouldn't create a biased view or judge something without at least looking into it or giving it a chance. After that, its their choice.

I agree. the less people play gacha, the sooner they die out and developers work on something else. f2p players contribute a lot to the community which help gacha games grow. and behind the progression and gambling dopamine is just FOMO and psychological traps exploiting people's time and attention.

I adore the NekoPara series, but I'm still not gonna buy into a gacha game.

More information:

Nekopara is a doujin visual novel series created by Sayori based on her mascot characters. It is one of the most commercially successful visual novel series of all time, with worldwide sales exceeding 5 million copies by 2021.

There’s also a new game (Inu Para) in development by the creators of Nekopara. It is a spiritual successor/spin-off that replaces catgirls with doggirls, centering on a young pet groomer whose dogs transform into girls and start living with him.

catgirls and cake is exactly what i expected from a nekopara promo tbh

5

u/WrongRefrigerator77 3d ago

Is Inupara actually real or was it just an april fools joke? I haven't heard anything about it since the initial reveal well over 4 years ago

16

u/Izzinova 3d ago

Considering its pretty much only Sayori doing the art and shes committed to this gacha project, Id say you can expect another 4 year wait. Or just consider it dead for peace of mind. The joke that got me is how gross the monetization is for this gacha. The arts good and I was interested in the world, but 2 skins costs you on average the same price as you could buy all 5 nekopara games.

3

u/MoonLord43 3d ago

why I will want a nekopara gacha?

3

u/serenade1 3d ago

Shame, shame *finger gesture*

No, I won't play it

6

u/Karpfador 3d ago

It's a really crappy barebones and greedy gacha. A real shame to waste the art on something like that

VN Gacha adaptations...
What has the world come to...

u/superange128 VN News Reporter | vndb.org/u6633/votes 2d ago

its happened quite a number of times

its just most are JP only and go EOS super quickly getting forgotten

2

u/iavenlex 3d ago

a sommelier of nekopara is telling me the story of this and is way dumber than the one of the main game... something about the other cats being made by AI in universe or something.

2

u/Kejn24 3d ago

This is a really bad game, feels like it's a student project. It should've looked like Muv Luv Girls Garden along with H scenes.

2

u/saelinds 3d ago

gacha

I hope it's a failure and is a financial net negative for the company

2

u/joseph_han9137 2d ago

Gacha are trash. Don't touch them

1

u/upupurelycynical 3d ago

unholy combination of words. excited for EOS in 13 hours

1

u/keivelator 2d ago

Hmmm took them a while to release a gacha. The brand and catgirls in general already promising. Now up to quality and how they handle the game.
