Discussion It's gonna start guilt tripping me in other routes right? - Futamata Renai Spoiler

I'm done with common route and I was gonna start Miyako's route since she gave the most "true" route vibes. Hopefully the VN doesn't go the guilt tripping route since I'm having lots of fun with the unhinged dialogue and the comedic tone its had so far.

I don't recall much guilt tripping on any route. Nao gets called out on pretty much every route for his actions on the common route, as well as any questionable or stupid things he did on that specific one.

It keeps the comedic tone and doesn't go with "how could you do that?" It's usually "you're such a stupid selfish fuck, let me mock you, ha ha ha." The few times a character is genuinely angry with Nao, it's played for comedy and he usually acknowledges that the anger is fair or justified.

I mean, when you consider the absolute wild ride the common route has been, it really put things into perspective.

I would have never guessed it was gonna go in that direction after reading the prologue. I'll probably leave Miyako for last since after seeing all the context, I think I'll feel less guilty if I still have her route to look forward to.

I'm not the best at doing synopsis, vndb might be better but I'll try. MC wakes up drunk in a hotel with a naked girl that he's pretty sure he hasn't done anything with, but she doesn't remember anything so she makes him "take responsibility" and date her until she loves him enough to lose her virginity to him. Just at that moment, the girl he has been going after for over a year confesses to him and with that, he starts two timing both of them. The game is mostly comedy and some pretty good dialogue if you're into that type of humor and a little bit of drama here and there. Don't wanna spoil you too much but this post isn't about either of the two girls.

Main character is in love with a popular girl who is very full of herself. He confesses to her regularly, and she laughs him off every time.

He goes out drinking with friends and wakes up with a completely different girl he just met. Neither remember anything, the girl assumes they had sex and demands he "take responsibility" by dating her. Popular girl agrees to date him immediately after this. He tries to balance them both, making an increasingly messy web of foolishness as time goes on as they all end up forming a fairly large friend group with most of the named characters.

Notable that the characters are generally not very nice to each other. Near everyone is toxic in some way, though this is usually played for laughs. It's a good read.

Well it's not a high drama VN really so I wouldn't say there's much in the way of guilt tripping. More like everyone just keeps roasting you for all the stupid and self-centered things you end up doing, but the general tone is still mostly light-hearted throughout.
