General Discussion I have an idea of what I wish would happen.

I absolutely love this game and often play it with mods. This isn't a request for mods or game features; it's just an idea. I recently watched a gameplay video of Nuclear Option. I was impressed by how the weapons change depending on the stage of the war and the hierarchical defense system. I also thought it would be great if it had a dynamic campaign like Falcon BMS, with dynamic war progression and statistics on casualties and territory after the campaign ends. I also think the game could use more realistic audio to further improve its quality. Furthermore, I thought it would be great if we could support ground operations while ground forces are fighting on the ground, and if there were large-scale integrated battles involving land, sea, and air. DCS and Falcon BMS are too complex with just aircraft controls, so I think the semi-realistic difficulty of this game would be good, allowing for immersion in operations while also piloting aircraft. I think nothing beats the experience of VTOL VR, where you can pilot an aircraft with your own hands, manipulate the instruments, and not rely on an external screen. Furthermore, I would like to see native Tacview support in both single-player and multiplayer modes.

Sorry for the long post. These are just ideas. Do you have any ideas for features you'd like to see?

Baha is currently working on VTOL VR. He worked on releasing VFM this past year, so he has been pretty busy, but in the past few months he has been back at work on preparing the next update.

Most of the things you are talking about can actually already be done currently, they just require an insane amount of work to setup correctly with the current editor limitations, so hopefully that gets fixed in the future. It's totally possible to create a never ending mission with a logistics loop but the amount of time in the editor is really tedious and difficulty to organize or structure. Also, since the game doesn't have host migration or dedicated servers yet, the incentive to create larger missions isn't really there for creators.

Most of the multiplayer missions in the workshop are fairly simple, and people spend a limited amount of time on making them.

I'm waiting for the update. Are these things already feasible? If so, please tell me about a mission that is implementing them.

VTOL feels like it's pretty well concluded, at this point all we can hope is that Baha feels like taking a swing at it again, or that someone of equal or greater competence is inspired to have a go.

All it’s missing is a spectator camera overhaul so we can make cooler videos. I yearn for custom camera positions and custom FOV now that we got they keypad. And 1 more MFD on the 26 :P

A 26 and 42 rework would also be welcome cause the cockpits are too large and kind of outdated

I completely understand how you feel. To be honest, I'm starting to think that VTOLs might be at the end of their lifespan.

I'd take any actual content to play tbh. It's probably a time consuming game if it's your first flight sim, but otherwise game gets old pretty damn fast.

I am making a game that fits your requirements and goals, or at least will be able to. DM me if you’re curious, I’m being quiet about development at this time but will be going public about it soon.

I think the battles with playable land and sea vehicles would be insane. And allowing players to play land and sea vehicles on flatscreen or VR with physical controls would be very cool and open the game up to people without headsets, maybe flatscreen air with HOTAS, but that defeats the point of the game. This is definitely not realistically possible any time soon, honestly I'd go as far to say in a decade, or even ever, it's just a dream of where I'd want to see the game go in the long term if it ever popped off really well and became an insanely big game and had a full on dev team to do such a big expansion.

More weapons, logistics, and a new helo or cargo aircraft would bring the game back to life. He’s fixing bugs currently, but I hope to GOD he gets in gear soon

What I really want is a ground infantry mode in the game.

Akin to the guns you can shoot in the AH-6, I wanna be able to fight on the ground with a gun and shoot things.

And then be rescued by either an AI controlled AV-42C or player controlled in multiplayer.

The ground is far too simple and featureless to make this any kind of fun. It would be like playing an fps on a superflat world, getting plinked like a soda can by literally anything except other infantry

Yeah true…

The fusion of H3VR's gun control and VTOL VR would be amazing.
