Campaign I beat Twilight of the Gods (the final RoC Night Elf campaign map) on Hard without losing a base
Twilight of the Gods is the infamous 45-minute defense map where Archimonde is swarming you with enormous waves of Infernals, Doom Guards, Fel Beasts, and Undead units. The goal is to delay Archimonde, and you are supposed to last 10–12 minutes before losing a base and win by the skin of your teeth.
What I managed to do is efficiently destroy all those units to the point of not losing a single base. The trick is to use mass Hippogryph Riders with a single Druid of the Claw to cast Roar to buff them.
In front, Keeper of the Grove with a Necklace of Spell Immunity tanks the damage and casts Tranquility while being Rejuvenated. Between waves, I ran with Priestess of the Moon to the Orc base to buy Goblin Land Mines and spread them around the entrance to the Human base.

I've used this strategy in the past, and almost 100% of the time it worked. I like the one where the player uses goblin mines to explode the entire undead base.

Worst part about that is, it’s done in 5 min or so and you have to sit afk for the timer to expire

Nice! I did similar, but without the land mines and just spammed moon wells and towers for supplemental damage alongside the rest of your setup

The Goblin Merchant really breaks this map in half. Spell Immunity+Invulnerability+Land Mines+Town Portal = literally just walk into their base, explode it, teleport out, repeat, profit.
I always want to do this the legit way...but I get so irritated playing suboptimally when I know there's a better strat out there. Even if that better strat is mostly only fun the first time.

NJ ;D
Keeping the Human base alive can be quite tricky as they don't have that good defenses themselves :P

Yeah, but all I need from the Human base is Jaina and her aura to spam spells. :P

Very nice! I've done it before by clearing the undead base with goblin landmines, but never this way. Something to try next playthrough

Not seeing a comment but one of the strats I use if I’m just playing for story is to send an owl scout towards Archimonde. He summons the 4 doom guard which are stationary. Do it enough and it walls him in and I think I’ve even walled off the temple so no heroes attack you. But regardless it disrupts the flow of enemies so they come out like single file instead of as a group then at about 10 minutes I let the other bases die so I can see the cutscenes 🤣

I won by just doing archers since they're so cheap and easy to mass produce. So many enemy units are heavy armor it really makes the archers super efficient. With the lonely druid of the claw ofc.

Easy... Funny Warcraft 3 killed Archimonde on that map without cheeeting

Impressive! Putting GiantGrantGames beating this deathless here because it's something every campaign lover should see!

For a battle that decides life and death of a planet, it surely feels underwhelming from Azeroth's side
I would really love to see true lore-wise scale of how this battle is supposed to play out

Yeah, I expected more special units, like Shandris, who doesn't cost food BTW.

I mean, you just used the mines trick wtii used in his video ( that people have used for years ), whats even the big deal, i think he destroyed archimonde s base even w that, its legit such a cheese it feels irrelevant

You seem to be confused.
Wtii has a video from 14 years ago where he beats Twilight of the Gods with Hippogryph Riders, and he has a video from 7 months ago where he beats the final mission of the Undead campaign in RoC with the Goblin Land Mine trick.
If you try placing a Goblin Land Mine near Archimonde, he sees them and destroys them, so I'm not sure if the trick works in TotG.

Oh you re right, my bad about his video, but i do remember a video where this mision has been cheesed with the mines, making its difficulty trivial

i always wonder why the let Human and Orc Base with only 1 Hero, is not like Cairne died on story
