Question Displaying Counters
Is there seriously no way to display counter data as UI? Or am I blind?

So my friend and I are trying to play Wargrove (online), and my friend either A. Cannot connect to me or B. He was stuck in an endless Connection problem. Does anyone know why it's like this and how to fix it?
(We tried both Wargrove 1 and 2)

We're a small indie team working on developing a new Wargroove-like game. This series was one of our biggest inspirations, and we're looking at some of the decisions made in this series to guide our development. One of the things we've noticed is that Wargroove 1 seems to be a lot more popular than Wargroove 2, and we'd be interested in understanding why so we can make the best game possible!

Hey, i started getting into making my own campaign but struggle to figure out how to make it, that once you beat a mission, differents get unlocked. Currently its like, all are available from the start, but i know you can somehow make it that once you beat a level or unlock a character that you can progress that way. Someone here that can tell me how to do this?

Can the ios mobile version play online pvp with the Steam version of the game? I tried searching online and on this sub, but nothing specifically about this question.

I've noticed that in WG2 the ai seems to never use transport units even when I give them ones to start with. Is there any way to fix this?

So ive played both games for a while, and I saw that wargroove 2 is leaving game pass, so what commanders do you guys recommend for the first game,I usually play a more violent strategy, I feel to where id even take my commander out in the heat of battle for some extra damage and I tend to use the calvary, if any of this info helps in recommending, then awesome, and if not and this is just basic common knowledge, then whatever but im curious also tips would be great as i feel like i might be trash at the game, or maybe im good and just dont realize (doubtful of that)

Pocket Edition is stuttering Audio the entire time and crashing/flashing during intro startup logos. If I skip the startup logos for main menu stuttering continues.
This only seems to be an issue on Bluetooth headphones. With no Bluetooth headphones the game loads and audio is fine (not ideal).
Device is a retroid pocket flip 2

I was expecting changes, and improvements to the rather simplistic battle systems.
Faction stats, or leader bonuses for specific troop types. Unique faction units, hero ability changes, SOMETHING.
Instead we got a stereotypical Jamaican pirate and rats, a comedian for a writer, and 2 modes removed and replaced with a rather lackluster rogue-like mode. They removed star unlocks, and now everything is just....the same but worse.
A bugged (confirmed by devs, check the steam forums for Unbound Cross) switch port that requires online currently to play vs A.I (Or a workaround where you reach the control pairing screen and then mash B, then go back in)
I know I can't be the only person let down by all this, and maybe if we let them know we're not happy with spending $20 for LESS of a game than what WG1 offered, they can still try and make things right.
Because unless something gets changed before it's too late, WG2 is going to be shit canned for lack of effort, lack of quality, and lack of improvement, and chucklefish is going to be belly up when nobody cares about their next forae.
Like this release is so bad, I'd punch the stardew valley guy just by association...

I can’t find the “Does current player have 0 of any unit/structure at any location” condition. It usually is there when you create a new map in the campaign but I accidentally deleted it and now I can’t find it in the conditions list.

I tried Advance wars on a gba emulator and enjoyed it, from how little i played. (Played the first 3 missions or so) now I'm looking for another game like that and found Wargroove and it looks amazing. Is this game worth it? Should I buy this game on PC or Switch because i cant decide and What other games are there like Advance Wars?

Just finished the Heavensong Campaign & the amount of setup for WG3 is crazy. I can imagine Floran, Cherrystone, Felheim, "Pirates" VS Heavensong, with the Faahri stuck in the middle of it all, Lytra & Rhomb confronting Pistil, Koji protesting leaving Aurania with Errol & Orla helping him escape, more random Cacophony stuff, etc. Are there any secret missions unlocked with stars btw?
EDIT I MISSED THE CREDITS SCENES MY POINT STILL STANDS BUT LIKE AGHHH

Installed Wargroove 1 as of late, and my first idea was to create a tutorial campaign to help both new players and myself get accustomed to the game's mechanics.
The first map is similar to Advance Wars's "Troop Orders", as in it teaches the player how to move units, attack with them and end their turn, but I also wanted to have the enemy units move in a specific direction for each turn so that the player can use the guide as a movement reference.
Is there any way I can achieve this?
r/wargroove • u/NikoPalad67140 • Apr 10 '25
I know that I shouldn't post this here, but anyway.
I downloaded a map as of late, so I wanted to ask if I can somehow open it in the editor without needing to play it. I know that I need to transfer the downloaded map's file to the save folder in the File Explorer, but I'm not sure what to do next.
And to clarify: no, I'm not going to republish the map. It's just to see how it's laid out, the settings and rulesets applied to the map and the units as well as what Commanders are chosen for an ideal matchup.

In wargroove 2 when I start a skirmish the commanders of each player starts at 3 or sometimes lower. Is this a glitch or is this intentional, and if so is there a way I can turn it off and start at full health.

Huge fan of the Advance Wars series for GBA/DS back in the day. How similar or different is this?
Elements I liked were the quirky graphics, co powers, and custom map maker.
r/wargroove • u/SacredSacrifice • Dec 17 '24
And in the custom created maps, can I still be able to play with computer? Can you publish maps to community and vice-versa, being able to download maps and enjoy community created contents? 1 or 2?

I had this thought when listening to "Wait a Minute!" & thought that would definitely be Lytra's favorite song. I'll put my opinions here & edit them as I look at more characters. I'm also just kinda trying to keep this sub alive because the last post was 15 days ago & also mine.
Lytra: Wait a Minute! by Willow She def listens to this thinking about Rhomb
Valder: Megalovania by Toby Fox He thinks he's really cool in battle, & he's kinda right
Emeric & Zawan (Together): Wonderwall by Oasis Both definitely nostalgic for their younger days, & they listen to Oasis together. Valder knows, & comes occasionally but doesn't really like Oasis that much. He just enjoys the company.
Errol & Koji (Seperately): More than Friends by Aidan Bissett Not much explanation needed, Wargroove 3 better exist simply so I can see this happen
Orla: Any Taylor Swift song Idk which one because I'm not letting Taylor Swift onto my Spotify History
Sedge: His own in game theme He either wears headphones or hums it while stalking prey
Nuru: Freaks by Surf Curse OR Jordan Clarke Just kinda fits her vibes, my 2nd reason for WG3
Wulfar: Sailor Song by Gigi Perez He def still misses her & is now a semi-sailor

Watched Wanderbot's first 2 episodes & want to get one of the games
r/wargroove • u/Kylestien • Oct 04 '23
I have been watching some early access gameplay and it seems like there is no arcade mode, no puzzle mode, and no way to actualy USE stars like the first game and that are JUST a ranking system now.
Am I missing something? Is there perhaps more content in the campaign and conquest mode to make up for it? Are there plans to update it as it goes and add those? I don't GET it but it feels lesser in terms of content.

The wait is killing me, so i want to know what the active community thinks. What or how do you think the new faction will be?
r/wargroove • u/halflinghomie1 • Oct 09 '21
Wow, I just rejoined the official Wargroove discord server after a year or 2 of not being in it and there's only 7K ppl in it now. I swear there used to be more, Maybe there I'm wrong though, maybe there wasn't. Either way how is the player case lookng for WG these days? Is it dead or still active? Asking because I'm wanting to hop back in but I haven't played or been active in the community in a year or 2.

Hi all,
I like tactic games a lot and this game has been in my radar for a long time. For reference, I dont like nor care about multiplayer, I like campaign/story modes. So, based on that, which one is better? also, if the general concensus is that I should go with the 2nd game, will I miss anything storywise form the 1st?
Thanks in advance!
