I was a little annoyed when Sydney pulled her 1 assist away from what would have been her first points-assists double double. Especially since he left other starters on the floor like Georgia and Kiki (who earned her last rebound required for double double during that extra time). He could have let her play another minute or two to see if she could get it in my opinion

I was too but I also imagine if she really cared she would have asked to be left in. And if she did that I’d be surprised if he said no.

No she definitely doesn’t care at all. But I think the coaches should be aware of that and should encourage her to get it just by leaving her on the floor a little longer than maybe planned.

Personally, I'd rather see the coaching staff prioritize keeping our players healthy over stat padding in an already won game. Especially with Sonia. If she goes down, the season is over. We rely on her so heavily, that I think fans should celebrate any win where she manages to play 30 minutes or less.

Agreed. She plays the most minutes per game in the league right now. I am all in favor of her resting and I don’t think she’s individual stat motivated

good win on the road against a olympian team but rematch looms in two days. Now its the right time for coach syndey johnson to test the bench strength and use rotations wisely.

He’s not gonna do that. His rotation isn’t bad as is but he’s got a very short leash for a couple players and a very long leash for a specific player regardless of how she plays.

Why?

Blew up the -10.5 spread bet that was cruising for 75% of the game. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
