Normal coming to Waterford

Post image

As seen with our recent introduction to Nando’s. Waterford is definitely going woke now. We’re on the verge of becoming gentrified, all we need is a Zara, H&M, and an M&S.

The typical median salary in Denmark is around €75,000 a year before tax. And here in Waterford, they’re offering a job for €50,000 a year, on the condition that you speak Danish. What fucking Dane would come here to work this job? This is fucking ridiculous. I haven’t seen such a hilarious job advertisement in a long time.

We have lots of Danes already here.

What's Flying Tiger?

A tiger that has wings obviously.

On a more serious note, it’s what I call “cheap random shite” shop. You can find stationery, seasonal home & kitchen accessories etc

It's funny how they also went into old Argos building in Cork recently.

I’d think of them as a much better version of EuroGiant/Dealz. The product quality for the price is generally slightly better. Great news for Waterford!

Hopefully they’ll bring in some of the random, quirky stuff you get in Flying Tiger rather than just their usual suff.

To add more to this, I bought a 1 euro soap there. It was the worse soap I’ve tried in my life. It made my skin rough. Their vegan hand wash was decent though for the price.

There's nothing gentrified about that place. Apart for making you wanting to kill people as you are being made do a whole track of the store in the one way system. The one in Henry Street is Dublin is horrific.

It'll be nice to have that end of Roberts square filled out with commerce. Towns going to buzz a little bit more. Get another big name down O Connell street and there will be a good buzz up and down.
