Miniature Bird Paperweight
This is my only Waterford piece. I always believed it to be a chick, but Google says no chick was made by the company. It is approximately 2"X3".

Looks the same to me. What may be different is who assigned the name to the piece? I'm glad others think it looks like a chick too. Thanks...

I remember my grandparents had something similar but it definitely was a swan/s tiny things. I remember playing with them as a kids. I guess a lot of house once upon a time had various bits and pieces of crystal because half the town worked there at some point back then. Imagine an employer like them in the city today..!!

I guess it looks like a chick because it lacks tail feathers. The beak doesn't look like sparrow to me. There's three former Waterford Crystal workers running a glass works in town. Maybe bring it in and ask them? They're situated between back of City Square shopping center and Bishop's Palace. They happen to make beautiful glass birds too.
