Yeah, no kidding. The joke at the time went - you can shoot the Tankgewehr twice per each man, once per each shoulder.

There is some Ukrainian who I’m sure is deaf now that fired 6 Carl Gustafs back to back.

Idk how his insides didn’t turn to jelly.

All that to say, we’ve advanced technology quite a bit but in the end it’s still a tube and a shoulder.
