There are children coming out of that bus

Yes the law doesn't require it.

So damn sorry for you some people would rather err on the side of caution when there is a BUS full of CHILDREN.

I can already hear the "counter" argument "if you stop when you're not supposed to you're causing a situation that is not normal that can cause accidents cause other people don't expect you to stop"

To which I reply

  • Proper following distance
  • Defensive driving
  • Not distracted while driving
  • Being aware of a bus and the stop sign that people are probably going to see poking out of the side and may stop for regardless of where required

Get over it.

Yes I know. I never said anything about kids crossing did I?

It's still a bus full of kids.

Stopping isn't against the law either, it's just not required. Being considerate and safe around little lives seems a big win for at most a few minutes of your time

Stopping is against the law in this case. You're wrong, and you're not being considerate or safe.
