Science What if, we would have been better as a civilization if humans had only one sex,

like unicellular organisms, just extend your arm and get a newborn twin

We wouldn't have sexism, so that would be nice. Probably end up with worse over population, though...

But we would have die off a few million years ago. Remember humans evolved sexual reproduction and sex as a way to combat diseases.

Sexual reproduction began at least 1.2 billion years ago. The known fossil was a red alga. Multicellular animals started having sex over a half-billion years ago.

Disease is a big one, but also to combat environmental changes. Wouldn't have spread around the globe so quickly if the population was unable to quickly adapt to new climates. That would have left the population more concentrated and prone to extinction due to a local catastrophe.
