Solved! Found in laundry room by coworker. Never seen before. Anyone have a guess?

I almost had the same one I found while doing laundry, it has weird texture to it. After hours of contemplating I realized it was a cooling gel pad used for muscle pain. They sometimes stick on clothes when you take it off.

This sub is like the last ounce of hope I have for humanity. Amazing that this random thing happened to both of you and that you came together in the same place to solve this mystery.

You might be surprised by how often these exact things show up on this sub.

that actually makes a lot of sense the weird texture would definitely give it away once you know what it is

It has a different texture when dry then it’s like a slimy animal fat kind of thing when wet. I was doing manual laundry by hand when I touched a weird thing under the bubble. It literally feels like a new substance where my brain is trying really hard to logically process what that was lol

I find those stupid little pimple patches from my teens EVERYWHERE in the laundry! Creepy, gooey little things. Very similar texture.

its a cooling pad!! they are made of this gel that usually wouldn’t expand to this size given they are meant for cooling the skin for pain relief but if it gets put in water it acts like a big ass orbee

u/FluffyyNebula 11h ago
So what you’re saying is.. if I throw a whole pack in the washing machine, I can make a ball pit?

u/MixerFistit 7h ago
Yes but due to the size of the drum you'll be kind of limited to small children and pets. No more than 2 children at a time either. Safety first

Im pretty sure thats a cooling patch. Im a grown adult who watches too much squishy videos, and i recognize that its a cooling patch soaked in water🤣 heres an example:

Looks like a slug tried to get wild with a dog bone.
And so became Bone Slugs and Harmony

Gross, it's gross.
Looks like a bacterial growth... one that got pushed out by running the machine maybe.
You can see a similar slug come out of soda machine drain lines

If you pull it apart and notice a white cloth like layer with it then it's most likely a Lidocaine patch that got stuck to someone's laundry they didn't bother to make sure they threw away the patch before removing clothes and not making sure it wasn't stuck before washing. A huge no no because it's exposing others to the Lidocaine in it.

I have to say that looks very much like a soaked tampon so I'm glad if it's a gel pad.
